Click the Text button just under the display and it will toggle thorugh each line. You can then use the arrows to see more text. I't kind fo lame it doesn;t cycle through all lines while you are listening.

I did a quick search on google. and there were 3 sites that showed it as an option. but no reference to usage in teh Edge. It's interesting though.

what state do you live in. you might want to check teh lemon laws. your story sounds like it would be one that is def. a lemon. i'd write to ford maybe and teel them your stroy. i'd call the local news and tell them your stroy.

here's my 2 cents. i bought my edge earlier this month and love it. nissan murano sounds like Morano i.e. Moran rav4 is small i compare that to a honda CRV vue is a bit more expensive when optioned and its a bit smaller in my opinion. escape while im sure it is a good SUV; the body has been around for a number of years and is starting to look dated.

yeah i know. you have to have a light touch on it. i didn;t see one mentioned for the back wiper. thanx for that info though. i'll have to try to find a way to be more gentle.

it's actually a feature. it described in the manual. I don't know of a way to stop it. i actually wish there was a momenty "flick" that you can do that will do one wipe w/o the cleaning solution dispensing. same goes for the back wiper although it does not do the last swipe after 5 seconds.

well. i didn't have the phonebook download set to ON. i think by default it is off. it's weird i can recieve calls and even make calls via the phone and it give me the option to use sync and it works fine. i'm still seeing if it is working again. it was paired when i last checked. Someone mentioned on another board to remove device and re-add the iphone. i have not yet tried that.

you have to have an account syncmyride.com but there is an explanation on how to turn on "phone book" it at least tells you how to get to the section to set the settings. it's under how-to guides and called: "Automatically Use Your Contacts Phonebook Each Time You Connect To Sync"

While swapping out my current account/radio to the one installed in the Edge. Sirius told me how to access the ESN number. When Sirius connects press and hold AUX button then 1 (memory 1) for about 3 seconds and the 12 digit number will appear. That is your ESN. Hope that helps others.

I am having the same issue as you all. It connects and then disconnects within seconds. I have not tried turning off the phonebook download in Sync. I don't had DVD navigation so not sure if i can even do this. I will keep you posted when i have tried it. Not even sure how to turn it off. The UI is not too intuitive. Shawn

Boy is it complicated to do it all on your own. But being educated on the cost will weed out dealers who hide fees or use tricks to manipluate the price.
