It's a lease return and was on the lot for sale for about 2 weeks. It has 2 minor (to me) flaws: smooth dents in two places. I didn't notice them at first but made a lot of them during negotiations. The Maui market is a bit odd and decent inventory is not readily available (unless you buy new, or will consider much older vehicles). Anyway, I think I got a good enough deal but it might be a regional thing... $20,500, with 12 months comprehensive and 7 year power train. I typically drive under 8k miles per year.
The mileage I'm seeing in the Edge so far is fairly low... 19 mpg ...but that's because I'm having fun with acceleration. It's a very welcome change from my old Ranger! It's also more fun to drive than my wife's 2006 Explorer.
The SE trim suits me perfectly because I don't want/need any additional goodies and, unlike many other vehicles, the base model comes with a great engine. I even prefer the cloth seats.
I wasn't expecting a capless gas filler. That was certainly interesting to discover. I'm probably going to switch out the antenna. It's not in a convenient place to remove for the car wash and I'm thinking one of those stubby ones from Craven Speed should be able to just stay on.
