thxs for the feedback, it is the switch, got the stoopid panel off without and breaks, saw the slide switch, all gummed up from road grime, etc, cleaned it up, the slide works fine now, ford sucks when it comes to crap like this,

ok, it has begun, Im not surprised, of course after my warranty, unless somehow its covered under power train etc. Well, just recently, (59,000.00 miles now) my driver door ajar alert will popup, of course the door is shut, I have to on a daily basis reshut the door to close out the alert, this is intermittent, I know the problem is becoming worse, it will occur during the drive of the car, the usual stuff, when the door is ajar, lites come on, the tone, door locks will not lock. I know as well that something is really going on as I shut the car off, go ahd and remote lock the car, the car horn beeps twice, its supposed to beep once and then lock, otherwise, the dome lites remain on for over 5 minutes, and the car will not lock. Im thinking its a sensor in the door? what the hell failed on my Ford tough car? Any feedback is much appreciated. To answer my own question, went out and looked at the driver door, I found 3 Phillips screws, door cvr does begin to pop off, but the upper rite portion of the door has something there that will not allow it to pop off, afraid to pry or begin to apply pressure, feels like it will break. Any ideas?Scott
