  1. First, I would get an amp with higher wattage. Second, I believe you could just use the existing wiring since that xd300/1 has speaker level inputs.
  2. My 60 portion of the back seat won't un-latch anymore. If I press the button in the cargo area I can hear the mechanism but nothing happens. If I pull up on the manual lever next to the seat nothing happens. There is normal tension on the lever, but it doesn't release the seat. Anyone else experience this? Thoughts?
  3. Yeah, it's pretty amazing how large that area is behind the panel. The Stealthbox is a generous size for sure! I bet they could've made the sub 12" if they wanted.
  4. The trouble with Sirus is that the audio quality is a joke. It sounds like streaming music with a 56k modem.
  5. I've got the Kappa's and they're great. They sounded pretty good when I didn't have an amp, now they rock! Here's my setup.... Alpine PDX-F4 amp Infinity Kappa 682.11cf speakers Audiocontrol LC7i JL Audio JX500/1D mono amp JL Audio Stealthbox Message me if you have any questions...
  6. *Update* Ok, I was kinda happy with my stealthbox and jl amp. But I wasn't convinced it was all worth it. I changed my high-pass settings to about 90 and the low-pass settings to about 95. That's better. Then I remembered I hadn't setup my lc7i bass control and accubass settings. In fact, they were turned all the way down! So I setup the lc7i bass settings. I also added the remote control knob for the jl amp ( a must have IMHO ). Then I re-configured the output signal on the jl sub amp to 31.6 volts. Bingo! Bass is awesome! My system sounds gorgeous! I love the remote knob so I can adjust the sub output on the fly, it's great! The Stealthbox and jx500/1d rocks!
  7. Ok I tuned my sub amp with a multimeter. The book says 31.6v but the guy at jl audio said to use 29.0v to be safe. So I'm at 29.0v. I'm still playing with my lc7i accubass settings but so far so good. I also have the crossover on both amps set to 80. The stealthbox is pretty powerful. Yet it's not very noticeable outside the vehicle, perfect. I have no idea how you guys with multiple 12" subs do it. I must be getting old, ugh. The system sounds awesome. The stealthbox doesn't make a huge difference but it compliments the system quite nicely. The lows are great. I think I need to order the sub amp remote knob so I can adjust the volume of the sub when I want. I think I just need to adjust the sub volume level to match the 4 channel amp a little better as something seems a bit off with certain songs.
  8. OK, the amp is all hooked up. I installed the amp in front of the spare tire on top of a foam square that I bought; worked like a charm. I'm not sure that I have everything adjusted properly. I've got the Input Sensitivity and Bass Boost turned all the way down for the break-in period. I switched my 4-Channel amp to High Pass and set both amp's crossover settings to 80. I'm not sure what to think so far..... I'm sure I need to get things broken in and adjusted properly before rendering a fair opinion.
  9. No worries. Yes, I saw the 10TW3 enclosure but I wasn't so sure about the fit.
  10. I don't think there is any room behind there. . Hmmmm...
  11. I don't have the foam. I've got the plastic storage trays. I'd prefer not to cut them.
  12. So the amp will not fit perfectly under the rear seat. When I fold down the seat it won't fold completely all the way with the amp under there, bummer. So I was thinking of installing it on the driver sidewall next to the lift gate motor. But, it looks like a real pain to take all that apart to get behind there and I wouldn't mind having access to the amp to make adjustments when needed. Now I'm thinking of setting it in front of the spare tire on top of that that metal brace thing. Maybe I could make a piece of foam to fit over that large metal thing and have the amp cradled on top of the foam. Thoughts?
  13. I've got it. I'll install it this weekend.
