  1. EDIT: Double post craziness made this whole thing a mess. Going on Autotrader and eBay as well.
  2. Less than 2 years after driving 800 miles round trip to get the Tri-Coat Platinum White Sport that I wanted... Uncle Sam is moving me across the country and everything from the BBQ grill to the stable of motorcycles and even the Edge is for sale. Its fully loaded except for AWD, includes TSW Nurburgring (or factory sport 22's - your choice). 45k Miles 75k Bumper to Bumper warranty / 100k power train warranty will transfer. Local dealer here in nor cal are asking $32k for similarly equipped. A good thing I guess, because I need a tad less than $28k to payoff. I'll consider a edgeforum discount too. Pics in library. Will also post updated shots when it stops raining! PM phone number so we can talk.
  3. Just over 20k miles since install, no issues. I couldn't feel a difference in the ride after removal, and it hasn't made a sound.
  4. "Carbon Fiber Vinyl", that's all it is. 13 months now, still PERFECT. Seems to be pretty good stuff.

Sweeeet. What size tire did you go with?
  6. No adapters. Just wheels/tires/springs. I did install the HR camber bolt also, but it is set at "0", as if it weren't needed.
  7. Just the logo. Mine were the same, no issues 8k miles later.

The tires seem to be wearing a bit faster than I expected out of a 300 treadwear. They spin when accelerating hard from a stop no matter how hot. They are quiet though. Nice and smooth too. They definitely handle well! Overall I would buy them again... The rear is lowered a bit more than the front, but it makes it even all the way around. I'll get some close ups when I get a chance.

Kirk, no modification. Even with the 10" wheel and 295 tires, it all fits just right. Couldn't go any wider in the rear without spacers or a much lower offset though.... The rear shock mount bolt is about 7 mm from the tire with this set.
  10. I was looking into ideas on coloring or replacing the gaudy chrome grill trim, and realized I had 2 roles of carbon vinyl stashed in the corner of the garage, from a previous project. It was alot harder than I imagined - but only because I went great lengths to make sure the carbon weave matched all the way across the front (as opposed to just cutting random mis-matched pieces) Otherwise, just like all the previous plain vinyl wrapped grills, it was pretty easy! I used a blow dryer to mold the corners a little better, and went all the way under and all the way over. All the way over as in all the way over the top and and under the hood to the radiator shroud bolts in the center, and all the way to the trim mounting bolts above the headlights. I wasnt able to remove the headlight trim. I didnt want to take the extra time. We'll see how well it holds up, and if I ever need to re-wrap the trim, I'll for sure remove the whole bumper and individual trim.

  13. I remember lurking a while back and seeing you post about the Snettertons. They look good, but I was moving away from the 22s all together, and once I was set on the Nurburgrings all bets were off. The more I drive with them, the more I really appreciate the weight savings. The look is really growing on me too. The flat gunmetal offset against the white platinum pearl of the Edge really pops. I'm going to spend a few hours cleaning up, polishing and waxing this weekend and then I will get more pics up...
  14. No negative effect at all. All positive all the way around. Just got back from the alignment shop for the second time around though, and after pulling the rubber the alignment seems to be much cleaner. No more pulling all over the road.
  15. Another update. I pulled the front springs again and removed the rubber isolator at the bottom of strut. Its super dense rubber and about .25" thick, so pulling it out and re-installing the springs gave me that much more drop. Not very noticeable accept that the front and rear wheel gap is now just about identical. Before, leaving the isolator in place, the rear was slightly lower than the front. Pull that rubber out for an even drop!

No issues at all with the 40 offset wheel. You could fit a 305 in there if you needed to, but it would stick out way past the fender...
  17. Wheels are ultra light TSW Nurburgring. More info here http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13309-20-nurburgring-2954020-falkens-2012-sport/
  18. The adjuster was already marked (factory?), i just lined it up again when I was done. It didnt matter though, it was still off a ton on the alignment rack, the drop springs pull it all over the place.
  19. Drove around a bit yesterday, and I had to report back with more news on these wheels. Butt dyno is no longer marginal. Kickdown acceleration, from 6th to 4th, or from 4th to 2nd saw a HUGE, HUGE improvement. So much so that my wife even noticed.... she asked like a smart ass "what did you do now, its faster than I remember" Braking also saw a massive improvement. I no longer feel like I'm towing boat when I try to stop. Braking is much more balanced and tight. So far, its all good news from the weight savings!
