  1. This looks like a good one. Definitely no splicing. And, after looking for a couple of weeks, everything I saw requires running a wire to the battery. I am assuming the wiring/fuses/bulbs are so sensitive that this is required. Thanks for nailing this down.
  2. Thanks for that. But I am going to avoid any splicing. I have seen a few different kits that are plug in, but they all require running a wire to the battery, which is what I really want to avoid. The question is whether Ford does the wiring entirely different when they install a tow hitch package with the wiring harness. Or, is there simply a plug somewhere in or under the car that accepts the Ford brand wire harness. No one seems to know at any dealer.
  3. Where did anybody get the harness? Directly from Ford, or an aftermarket. Thanks.
  4. Anybody buy the trailer harness from Ford? Wondering if that is a simpler install than all the aftermarkets. Also, has anybody used Uhaul to put the harness in. The harness looks much more difficult than the hitch itself. tks.
  5. I have original Ford chrome 18" I just removed from my Edge the day I bought it (used) from the dealer in NH. They have the continentals, and app 17,000 miles. Looking to sell. Will have them on ebay and craigs list soon. Will start the "bid" at $600, but have seen the wheels only sell for $800. Perfect shape. FYI, I bought the 17" aluminum over ebay, based on personal preference, and paid $800. I can ship UPS. If interested, let me know.
