I've had to do that twice already. But now I'm having bigger issues. My rearview camera is not working all the time, the screen is entirely black until 2-3 minutes after driving, audio is super weird (jumps from different sources and tracks). I'm so frustrated I end up having to go through all the steps every other day because my texts stop being read or phone can't connect.

I installed my update on Sunday and it worked great for 4 days. I have an iPhone 5 and was thrilled that my texts were being read to me. THEN, Friday morning my phone wouldn't even connect. I had to delete my phone, turn car off, and add phone again. It paired but now I get a message that it can't read my text messages in bluetooth mode (it used to). So I thought, fine damn thing! I plugged to USB and it still said it wasn't supported. But it worked fine for 4 days!!! I dont know what to do. I'm really hating MFT.

great news! In the 9 weeks I've owned my '13 SEL i've had to factory reset the damn thing about 12-13 times. sometimes the hard reset didn't actually take and i had to keep trying. My bluetooth wouldn't connect, and bluetooth/E911 was my "must have" when I was shopping around. Really irritating. pretty excited. would this be an update that i'd have to go to the dealer for or one that would automatically occur? the "assist owners" line makes me think not necessarily having to take it to dealer.

So I tried looking for this topic, but I found some older posts (2009) and most didn't have the info I was looking for. So forgive me if it's already been asked and I didnt find it. I have a 2013 SEL with a power liftgate and hate the key. I'd like to get a flip key that will work with the power liftgate and was wondering if anyone had been successful in finding one that did that? I tried emailing a seller on ebay but it's been 3 weeks and I haven't received a reply. any help is appreciated. thanks!

So unpairing wouldn't work, and other phones couldnt connect so I had to master reset mft. It didnt reset the first 5 times, but boy was #6 the lucky winner. thanks!

I've had my 2013 SEL for two weeks, and earlier this week I started experience the following problem: when i startup my car, i get the "connecting to iPhone" on the screen but it doesn't connect. This morning I even turned my car off and back on and made sure that bt was turned on and it was just stuck on "connecting" and then it gave up. I thought maybe its because I interrupted the MFT with the rearview camera so I turned my car off and gave it a few minutes to connect to phone before I tried to go in reverse and still nothing. I've had the phone connected to USB drive and not connected and still no-go. I'm very frustrated at the moment. anyone have similar problems?

I called the dealer and they said it was a "if you qualify" offer. Hmm... @1edge: That was before taxes price.

Just purchased 2013 SEL FWD and not sure if the price I got was actually a good deal or not... Got 205A, Vision Package, 18" chrome clad wheels, power lift gate, navigation, and panoramic sun roof for 30,470.. I like my car but thinking maybe I didnt get as good a deal as I thought and it's driving me nuts (not that there's anything I can do about it). And of course a few days after I got a $750 private cash thing. good deal? no?
