Over the last 15 years of cars I've owned, I've replaced a lot of other items in the doors, but never had to replace the glass itself. I doubt the cost of the repair will exceed my deductible, especially if I can do it for the cost of parts. However, that is mostly speculation right now for me, I was hoping maybe someone here could provide some more insight, as I haven't had a reason to tear into an Edge door until now. Is there a specific reason you wouldn't attempt it yourself? Is there some special tools required, some special procedures?
I'd just like to know what is involved to replace an Edge drivers door window, before I decide wether to pay someone to do it versus doing it myself.
