I gave it another try and discovered that little thing I called a clip is actually my ambient lighting. Still cannot get this panel off and I've read everything I can find online. Any suggestions? I didn't think Ford had changed anything for 2013 so there's got to be someone out there who has done this. Thanks.

Tried taking off the driver's panel today and was unsuccessful. I removed the two screws at the bottom and the two 10mm bolts behind the window switches and upper panel as per above pics. How hard are you supposed to pull up on the panel to have it let go? I was getting to the point where I thought it was going to break if I went any harder. I also found what looks like a little clip in the aft map pocket area which appears to be holding the panel as well. It's in a real tight spot within the pocket itself. Is this new /unique to the 2013 sport models or not even part of the panel fastening? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I joined this forum strictly for the info on hitch install and have found all the info very helpful - so thanks! Just wanted to say I installed a Reese hitch (part #44672 - Canadian Tire part #0401379 $230) today on my 2013 Edge Sport and had zero issues. Small cuts to the heat shield as previously noted, no change to the facia at all. I don't have my wire harness yet but plan on doing that as soon as it arrives. Cheers Dave
