  1. Hey guys, I just bought the 6p navigation dvd to replace my 4p, but it seems that they seller did not include the instructions. What button sequence is it that allows me to load a new navigation dvd? Thanks!

  3. Hey guys, just bought version 6p to replace my 4p on ebay, but unfortunately the seller did not include the box or instructions. What button sequence is it to load a new navigation dvd? Thanks!
  4. Hey guys, just got 6p to replace my older 4p disc, but I can't figure out how to eject the old disc and load the new one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  5. One more question, how difficult, and where can I find the tool needed to allow my steering wheel buttons to work. Thanks again!
  6. Looks beautiful. Do you think a company like best buy would install the unity? I'm not exactly mechanically inclined. Also, is the unit capable of showing real-time weather like some of the GPS units? Thanks!
  7. I recently purchased a Tom Tom for my girlfriend, and not only does it have more/better features, a better display, better and more accurate navigation and more features than the stock GPS, but it also only cost $169. While I wouldn't say that the GPS inside the Edge's navigation system is terrible (it IS serviceable), I just can't help but think there are better options out there. I bought my 07' Edge as a display/Demo model, so I managed to save a good deal of money on a practically new vehicle that contained every option imaginable. I can probably get close to $1,000 or more on ebay for it, so that would put me in the realm of a nice after market model. Now on to my questions: Would an aftermarket GPS still allow me to use my steering wheel buttons for volume, next track etc? Which aftermarket GPS would you consider purchasing, and which do you think would fit? Thanks a lot for your time and answers!
  8. High beams are still installed and work perfectly, and the set that I ordered was from ebay, and cost only about $95 for 8Ks. For Lex, after adjusting the lights, I put them back to the stock position since the Edge has a great cutoff for non-projector housing.
  9. Ok guys, here are some new pics of my lights. The first pic is without adjusting the headlamp screw, and the second is with adjusting. Before After
  10. To adjust the height of the beam, I'm assuming you have to take the headlight cover off since the screw is right next to where the bulb is. What's the easiest way to get the headlight cover off? Thanks!
  11. Well, the argument is that since we do not have projectors factory installed, glare might be a problem and cause our vehicle to become "noticeable" by the police, thus resulting in a possible ticket. I'm assuming that if you can "aim" the low beams a little lower, it'll have the illusion of having projectors installed. At least, that's my take on it. Anyone else care to clarify?
  12. Sorry for the long title. Here's my dilemma. I absolutely love my 8k HIDs, but they do make my car stand out a bit at night. The last thing I want is to have a couple of drinks at my favorite watering hole and have to deal with the police spotting my car from far away. Since the high-beams can be manually put on by putting the lights to the off position and pulling back the "high beam" lever, is there a way to mount low beams in its place so that I can turn off the HIDs, essentially, during the night and have the low beams on If I choose to? Thanks!
  13. The Edge actually has a really low cutoff point. I was driving tonight and noticed that the beam is actually below sedans in front of me when I drive. That picture you illustrated is ridiculous in comparison to the Edge's HID beam.
  14. That's ashame man, very sorry to hear about this. Is it still under some kind of warranty? I wonder if Ford can do anything about compensation and refer you to a local paint show for repair. That's simply unnaceptable
  15. I had a company nearby match the tint from the back for only $50.
  16. Just out of curiosity, what did it cost for the 22" Rim and Tires? My 18's, while looking nice, are in need of an upgrade. Thanks!
  17. Thanks very much! Was the paint very noticeable on the car compared to the original car paint? I've seen a couple of "touch up" jobs done by a few car owners, and sometimes the new paint looks worse than the scratch
  18. Hey guys. Noticed about a 3 inch long scratch on the back of my Edge, right near the hatch door. It's not extremely noticeable, but I'd like to maybe put some high quality touch up paint or something to get rid of the scratch. What do you recommend? Thanks!
  19. The lights themselvs let off a quiet "bzzz" that sounds a lot like the artificial lighting in office buildings. It's almost completely inaudible, and you really have to be on top of the open hood to even hear it.
  20. I'd like to know more about these "projectors" from someone. I wasn't aware that I needed anything else to install. Back on topic, I ordered these 8000K bulbs off of ebay, which were very reasonably priced. After reading how the very expensive Mcculloch were performing, I decided to go with a different variation. The company's website is www.xenon-vision.com, and strangely the lights are sold for $250+ on there website, yet the ebay member sells them for under $100 with shipping. I simply used the ballasts that were provided, and did not use any relays. I mounted the ballasts on the side of the edge and the lights have been working flawlessly so far. Aside from a very mild buzzing sound, everything seems A-Ok.
  21. Awesome. I plan to purchase these as soon as possible, but I'd really like to see them installed to get a good idea of how they'll look.
  22. The Weathertech cargo mat is absolutely fantastic. It fits the back perfectly, and is made of very high quality material. Very highly recommended!
