  1. 49k miles on it. Was a certified ford pre owned with 20k 2 years ago. Can still see the "FoMoCo" stamp in the rotor. The other driver and passenger rotors were nearly identical. Both had that same severe wear "stripe" down the middle. Both were primarily affected on the inboard side and both outboard sides were worn similarly but not quite as bad.
  2. Not likely road salt. Didn't happen on the rears and it is not as prevalent on the outer surface. It's like the pad was not touching at the edges and it allowed surface rust to build up that would normally wear off after the first few stops.
  3. I had a bad shudder coming from the front brakes. Replaced the pads and rotors. The old rotor was rusting terribly on the outer and inner parts of the braking surface. See photo. This was primarily on the inboard surface of the rotor (piston side of the caliper) but occurred on both the driver and passenger side. This was a certified pre owned 2011 sport. So it should be all OEM parts. Any idea what would cause this? I just put new pads and rotors on and don't want it happening again if something else is wrong.
