  1. Thanks for this information. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow and see about getting the ball rolling with them and a price idea. Thanks again.
  2. Benny: Thanks for the help. My vehicle was approximately 8 days past the extended warranty program when my issue began. It worked off and on untill about 2 weeks ago. They did refuse to help me back in march and wont do anything for me now unless I shell out the $1000 for them to fix it. I'm leaning more towards taking my chances with getting a used one from a junk yard. Thanks for your help Benny
  3. Sweet, thanks. I will monitor the thread as well as this on. thanks again.
  4. Who is benny...? Sorry, I am new here. My VIN is: 2FMDK3JC7BBB11440 The part number is: BT4T-14D212-BM (part # on the APIM I removed yesterday evening) I'm looking around online for a used one ($500+ for a new one is a little out of my price range right now) but cant find this part number. Right now, im just curious what other members experiences with replacing the APIM are with getting a used one. I was told that as long as the "14D212" is the same, then I will be able to have ford reprogram it to my vehicle. Can anyone confirm this is true for me please? Also, Thanks for your reply's, they have been helpful to say the least.
  5. Thanks for the help!! now, to justy determine which one to buy to replace mine...
  6. Well, I'm trying to locate a pull my existing APIM but Im having trouble finding it. Any help in this matter folks?
  7. So, long story short, the APIM in my wifes 2011 ford Edge SEL. After taking it to the dealer, them having the car for 2 weeks, getting the run-around, many, many, MANY headaches, I have decided to fix it myself. I called ford to get the partn number for the APIM and this is where I'm at right now. The part number Ford gave me: BT4Z 14D212 BA The part number I can find: BT4T 14D212 AA - AG, AK, AJ, AN Who here has replaced their APIM and what part number did you use to replace it? Any help is greatly appreciated. Also, they don't call it the APIM, they call it "voice recognition, sync module"
