  1. 2007 MKX. Clunk when turn turning left 90 degrees, or 180 degrees. Low speeds(AKA stopped at a stop sign, start rolling forward, then turn wheel). Anyone else have that?
  2. yeah. I went out started it up, then locked it, and then it worked. Who knows what my wife did when she parked in the driveway this morning. You must have to have a normal exit or something. Its actually going to be nice when its the middle of summer and Im inside to let that huge heat blast out. Just needs remote start!
  3. I dont know if the edge has it or not, but in the manual, it says if you press and hold down the unlock button for 2 sec or more, it will roll the windows down(open the vista roof too) with the car off. It wont work. Anyone else tried this?
  4. Just browsing through. If anyone wants to buy a trailer and tow with the edge...look at Trail Manor. Its a pop up....but with solid walls. Check out their site for the videos. Pop ups provide much less air resistance, and they make these things under 3500lbs, so its a perfect combo and a very nice trailer.
  5. Radiator capacity: with towing package: 12.8 quarts without towing package 11.7 Hmmm, I seriously doubt that radiator upgrade was at all necessary. More of a selling point. I could understand a oil cooler. Is there anywhere(besides the filter) that we can put one? Or is that where the factory one gets its oil from? Upgraded battery and alternator...for what? In the manual it says nothing about being limited without these items to 2,000 lbs. Thats referring if you put a class I trailer hitch on there. My only other question is, what is the proper way(I know most of these cars already have the wiring ready to go regardless of what package you pick)to wire up for your trailer?
  6. One thing that really bothers me is that I think all mkx's should come with HIDs..I mean the car is a basic lightshow at night and it doesnt even have HIDs????
  7. Got it yesterday...only got to ride in it because the wife was hogging it up...finally got to drive today. WOW, awesome...trying to find something wrong with it is very difficult. 2 things though... 1. While in drive and at a stop, releasing the brake pedal doesn't really let the car move forward...in fact, I found it to be like a manual transmission on a incline... I'm sure Ill accommodate, but its strange 2. The gauges, really, the speedometer. Its sort of compact, and not a lot of numbers or notches...I think Im doing 35 because it shows 30 and then a line...but really that line is the 40mph mark. Likewise, Ill adjust. Thats all I can find. Very comfortable, the seats are adjustable beyond all belief...the wife and I actually use the presets! The headlights are incredible...excellent visibility...adaptive headlights are awesome..how did I live without all these cool gadgets? The car looks incredible in and out...especially at night..wow. THX stereo sounds awesome...I could use a tad more bass(I have 3 10s in my other vehicle), but the imaging is incredible. 6 disc mp3 makes me wonder if Ill ever bring the ipod into the car! Dual zone AC and heated/cooled seats will solve the fighting my wife do when Im driving home and shes cold and Im hot. Power liftgate makes me feel like a spoiled child. 18" wheels fill the wheel wells nicely. The Michellins are nice and quiet and having 6 gears puts the power in the right spot at all times...the engine has a nice tone to it as well. Here is a quick pic of the beauty:
  8. Thanks! My mazda tribute is also silver(slightly lighter) and hides dirt wonderfully, but it has the darker lower body cladding..and that does show dirt!
  9. Went for the 07s since the rebates and deal were incredible. Didnt want to spend the 2K on navigation, and didnt want a purple:eek: or black car, so we went with a pewter with black leather. No vista roof, but thats okay, in order to get one without all the other stuff we didnt want, we would have had to get a 08. Essentially, the vista roof would have cost us a extra 8K lol. Anyway, it has the THX soundsystem, adaptive headlights, heated/cooled seats, power liftgate, chrome 18" rims. Tons of features, it rides so smooth and quiet. We paid a extra 4K over a Edge SEL with cloth, no THX, no power lift gate and 17" rims....well worth it IMHO. We paid under 30K for this MKX and couldnt be happier. My buddy did the deal for me(he is a salesman there) and it was a pleasure. Even beat my credit unions finance rate.
  10. wow, you are right...I thought lincoln had it for 07... Hmmm, maybe he was talking about 08... Ill find out tomorrow when I go over there.
  11. Guys, thanks for the info. Just talked with my friend at the dealership. Its either a low optioned 07 SEL (dune pearl, no Vista roof, sirius, cloth) for 22K Or a 07 MKX leather, heated seats, vista, etc for 27K No navigation, but it has sync. Looks like Im gonna get a MKX!!!!!!!!
  12. BAMR? what does that stand for...I understand you are referring to the vista roof...
  13. Should be selling my wifes car today, and picking up a new edge in the next few days. Any option you wish you had ordered? Had not ordered? Exterior/Interior colors to avoid? Cloth or Leather? Vista roof, or does it make noise??? Im avoiding the chrome wheels, I heard about their problems. I own a 2001 Mazda Tribue(ford escape basically) with 138K on it, and I love that little 3.0, Im sure Ill love the 3.5 even more!
