Im preparing to swap my 3.5 (FWD) with a new motor. Im curious if any one knows if i will need Any special tools. Im most concerned about pulling My tranny/transaxle components off one motor and putting on new motor. Any Input is appreciated.

Im being told that in order to pull your motor. You must pull thru bottom of vehicle and you can not pull out top with a cherry picker. Please reply to this if you have any information on this subject

I am going to do an engine swap on my 07 ford edge w/engine oil cooler. From what I'm being told you can put engine oil cooler on a motor that did not have that system. It appears to be a bolt in system. Any comments is appreciated.

Any recommendation where i could fund that info.? My local ford dealers have not been very helpful at this point

I have a 2007 Edge Limited. I am going to swap engines due to blown head gaskets and its same cost to swap motors vs pay labor to replace gaskets. My question is what can expect to have to purchase or do to swap the motor? I know all the fluids and A/C recharge. Anything else I will have to do to make a swap happen?

Im more concerned about electronics (wire harnesses, etc.)

I have an 07 edge w/3.5 . Im curious if Any other yrs of the Edge or Lincolns are a direct swap on that engine. I wdge probably replacing mine and id like lower miles on one if possible. A little easier to Finns 08 and 09's.

Do you know if other yrs of the Edge or the Lincoln mdx are direct swaps for the 3.5 motor in the 07 Edge? I can get used motor complete for 1300-1500.

I can get a complete motor for the price of labor of fixing head gasket. Its crazy, really

IM curious how difficult changing a blown head gasket on a 3.5 2007 ford edge. The shop i normally go to said that it is a very advanced procedure. Im looking for opinions on doing on this motor vs other motors.
