  1. Hey, In anticipation of buying a new Edge Limited in the coming months (or possibly a Saturn Outlook, depending on how the research process goes), I'd like to get my hands on the technical specs for the Edge. Things like fuel tank size, rotor size, etc... aren't found in the brochure that Ford makes available on their website, so I was hoping someone here had a copy? P.S. - I'm in Canada, so if there are differences between CADM and USDM it would be good to note as well. Thanks in advance, Dylan
  2. could this be a result of the same tech that's built into late-model VWs? my wife's jetta (auto, 2.0L) won't engage until the brake is released for either 2 seconds, or low revs applied. apparently there's some stupid logic about how this is supposed to be safer (when it only results in mild whiplash).
  3. if you take a closer look at the rear of each, you'd need more than the bumper and tails - you'd need the whole rear 1/4 panel as well. on both cars, the bumper and the 1/4 panel meet in the bottom outside corner of the tail light - since the edge tails extend lower than the mkx, the 1/4 panel also extends lower. I'm thinking the internals could be swapped out of the mkx tails and implanted into the edge housings, but you'd need to custom-fab a filler for the 2 or 3 inches of gap at the bottom. I'd hold off for the aftermarket.
  4. braking is my biggest concern with the Edge as well - we're thinking about an Edge to replace my wife's jetta, now that there's a baby on the way, and I'm hoping there's something in the aftermarket to improve the 1960's-ish braking distances. I'm thinking an upgrade to a 4pot/2pot system will do the trick, but that just means $$$$. I too am interested in pad-only upgrade performance changes.
