  2. My wife was replying from the phone, both the G2 and Maxx are the primary. I am on the most up to date system
  3. I posted this on the Sync forum but so far no replies, maybe one of the Ford folks here could help out. Background: Purchased 2011 Lincoln MKX about a month ago. It is loaded, lighting package, Nav... Problem: Phone pairs and I can play audio, listen to music and listen to text messages with no issue. The trouble comes when you try to reply to a text message the phone disconnects and often fails to re-connect without manually re-connecting it. We discovered this while on a longer trip (roughly 3 hour trip). I got a text, listened to it then said to the wife "please send this back". I dictated a message, she hit send and the screen came up with "Disconnecting...". The first time it re-connected after about 2-3 minutes. Another text received and she replied again. Again causing the disconnection. This pattern continued for 4 cycles until the phone did not re-connect by itself. When we got where we were going I unpaired and re-paired the phone, rebooting the phone in the process. Return ride home the system did the same thing. We paired her phone to my Sync and it did the same thing. Arrived at home and paired one of the kids I-phones and it did the same thing. Phones tried: LG G2 Droid Maxx Droid 4 Iphone 5 I have already expressed my disgust with this system in another thread so I will leave that part out. Any thoughts/help?
  4. Awesome, no worries on the time, Thanks for the pics. That looks like it will work out perfectly for what I want to do. My charger base is a wireless charging unit so I can leave that plugged in and just pop the phone in and out. I am hoping to tuck the wire under this unit to minimize any unsightly wires showing. Thanks again.
  5. Thanks ls97 and drpepp for the confirmation. I think I can do without the overprices service. Even at $60 it seems a bit inflated. el google to the rescue! Thanks again. In other news, I will be bringing my 4 day old (to me) certified vehicle in to the shop on Friday to have the moon roof fixed (it opens very slow and WILL NOT CLOSE) as well as a few other little things. One would have thought the Certified portion of this (and yes, I do see the check box on their Certification sheet) would have showed the issue with the roof. I certainly pointed it out during my test drive. When I picked the vehicle up it was pouring so I had no chance to test it. I was told that everything was fixed and ready to go. Oh well. I wonder what kind of loaner I will get???
  6. Probably not the correct topic area but since you asked: Can you tell me why the Ford sync subscription is $60 and the Lincoln version is $199 http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/sync-services-overview-sync http://support.lincoln.com/sync-technology/sync-services-overview-sync-mylincoln-touch Not sure I see a difference when reading the description of services for the two.
  7. Awesome, thanks for that. I will give it a try at lunch.
  8. Is there a way to turn off, black out or otherwise (easily) fully dim the touch screen, looking for one button solution if possible? While driving at night I would like to kill the large display, due to the amount of light it throws off, while running everything from the HUD. I do not want to turn everything off, just turn the display black. The old SAAB bad a feature called Black Panel (one button that would do just this). Any help would be appreciated, thanks
  9. Drivers seat not a comfortable as it should be. Hurts the back of my legs on 1/2 hour plus drives. Tried adjusting it but no good. It just doesn't seem to be as plush as any previous vehicle I have owned. I find myself adjusting my feet to compensate and I shouldn't have too.
  10. Just picked up a 2011 MKX. So far, so good. Typical (from what I have read) sunroof issue that I have to take it in for. But overall after 3 days and 150 miles my only beef is the drivers seat. We will see how this fairs. Still working through the Sync and Nav systems.
  11. HI All, Fist time poster, just picked up a 2011 Lincoln MKX. Does anyone have a pic of the Kuda installed in their vehicle? Thanks
