Thanks all. I figured it was aftermarket. Don't think it's Bluetooth since the car already has all of that. It's an SEL fully loaded. Not sure why this would even be required.

I have a new (to me - 2011) Ford Edge that I just purchased today. It has some strange device hanging below the light dial that has a phone icon to the right and was appears to be a large # sign to the left with an LED bulb between. Not sure if anyone here could tell me what it is, it doesn't appear to do anything when I press either button. I've attached a screenshot.
