  1. After 20 phone calls I had one guy at a Ford parts dept. (out of state) tell me that after those parts are installed the computer has to be flashed to turn on that option. I called a few local dealers service depts. and nobody will say if that is all its needs. They all seem concerned that I put the parts in myself and dont want to mess with it. They say they dont know if they can make it work. They say bring it in and we can do that and if it needs more thatn that we will call you. Flash the computer starts at $99.95. Has anybody had their computer flashed to do this. Thanks

  3. RE: Adding auto headlights. Beware. This does not work on 2012 Edge SE. Bought Sensor #7L1Z-13A018A and Headlight switch # BT4Z-11654-AA. Disconnected battery. Installed parts and Headlights (and tail lights) are on all the time when switch is on auto. Car does not have DRL.
  4. Hello everybody. I bought a 2012 SE new for my wife two years ago. Nice car. I didnt realize SE didnt have auto on/off headlights. My wIfe was used to that because her last car didnt either. The other day I used it. I was used to auto headlights. Silverados have had that for years. I got in the car and started it up , all the lights in the dash go on. It was still fairly light out. You better remember when it gets dark to turn the headlights on. There is no indicater that the headlight are on either. Older cars at least the dash would stay dark until you turned on the headlights. I googled adding on auto headlights to Fords. I saw several F-150 sites that said add sensor and Auto headlight switch. I saw one on this site (I think) about a guy with a 2011 that added a sensor and switch from a wrecked car and put them in and it worked. I bought the sensor and switch new and put them in. Not a plug and play for a 2012 SE. With switch on auto, headlights, parking lights and taillights are on all the time. Turn car off and they stay on for 20 seconds (factory setting) so that part works. Will look on this forum for that topic and warn everybody thats its not a plug and play for 2012 SE.
