Hello all, I have a 2007 edge with 115k miles, and recently it cracked a head. I bought it two years ago with 90k miles on it and it has run fantastically. It has been well maintained while I've owned it but I have no idea how the previous owner treated it.
I am considering replacing the motor in it and have found a motor at a local salvage yard that only has 9k miles on it. The only problem is, it's a 2010 motor. I am wondering if a 2010 3.5L engine is compatible In a 2007 edge.
I searched online with no results.
The work will not be done in a shop, and I am trying to find a suitable engine locally as I am wary about ordering one online.
Unless anyone here can refer me to a trustable online dealer.
Please be polite, I'm a lady and I'm just trying to fix my beloved edge without racking up thousands of dollars.
