  1. Found the issue!!! Turns out that the discharge hose was bad. The outer rubber had broke away from the inner lacing causing the leak at pressure. Replaced the hose and now the ac is stable. Thanks everyone fornthe help and responses.
  2. So...looking at your pdf above, where is that A/C pressure relief valve that is showing on the sheet.
  3. For the temperature at the time it was pretty close, say within about 7 psi. I have changed the service ports. Also when it is leaking it appears to be occurring around the lower passenger side of the front. Somewhat close to where the compressor would be.
  4. Hi all, I've experienced a strange anomaly that I hope someone can help me out with. Last summer I replaced the condenseron my 2008 3.5L Ford Edge, and it was working great. However, during the winter, the A/C inadvertantly was on at a moment and I heard a pop followed by the hiss of refrigerant leaking out. At the moment I put it off as it was winter and not needing a/c at the time, however, I have now turned back to getting this fixed. At first, I pulled a vacuum on both the low and high side of the sytems. After letting it sit for a while, both seem to hold the vacuum fine and there appears to be no leaks. At this point, I decided to try and recharge the system. I started to refill the refrigerant and all has been going fine. It was around 90 degrees out so I was expecting somewhere around 45-55psi on the low and 250-270psi on the high side. Although it ended up showing around 45 and 275, everything seemed to be working normally. The pressure normalized when turning off the AC the pressure went back to the 45/275 when it was on, etc. I let the system run for 30-45 minutes making changes and looking for any changes. Nothing out of the ordinary occurred. At that point, I packed up the tools, as I figured the job was done. My last test was for a quick drive. I started the car and again, everything was fine, however, when I put the car in Drive and began to drive away, the hissing occurred again and it seemed to let out the AC. I'm at a loss for what would be occurring here. Is there some sort of relief valve I don't know about? and is it only active when I put the vehicle in drive? Thanks in advance for any direction on this. TLDR: AC system operates fine in Park, but loses pressure when placed in Drive.
