  1. I have great faith in them. I have bought every car I have ever owned from them and their service is second to none. They are a small dearler in a small town and they haven't forgotten that. You still make the deal with the salesman. Not some sales manager behind a secret door in the back of the building. Heck I have actually bought all my cars from the same salesman. First one being in 1996.

     

    I bought a 2013 Escape from them in May. I tried to make myself like it but I just couldn't. 3 months 11,000 miles and 4 recalls later I had had enough. I called my salesman and told him how I felt. He ended up giving me nearly all of my money back in trade for my Edge. Fact is I put 11,000 miles on the car and it only cost me $400. I feel that is standing behind your product. Anyway I could go on and on. The dealer is Eddie Gilstrap Motors in Salem Indiana.

  2. Well went to dealer today. Said they found a "fix as fail" bulletin. Ordered a new filler neck assembly and gonna replace the whole thing. I suggest if you are still under warranty and having this issue I would go get it repaired.

    It is a family owned dealership and I really, really needed a road trip. Gave me time to say good bye's to my old Sable that treated we so well for 9 years and to break in my new baby while seeing friends in KC along the way. Trust me, if it wasn't for family, I would not have waited 4 months for the vehicle to be built and delivered. :doh:

    Cool! It does actually sound fun picking up your brand new ride and getting to drive 2,000 miles right out of the box. I bought an Escape 4 months ago and put 11,000 miles on it in 3 months. I hated that car so I traded it in and got my Edge. I must say I actually look forward to driving now.

  4. Nothing better than not seeing the exact same car you have everywhere you go. I have a platinum white one with the apperance package, havent seen another one yet. People usually dont even recognize that its an edge.

     

    Question why did you buy from a dealer in Montana when you live in Houston?? Was the price really that much better?

  5. I did try filling slower. Didn't help much. Talked to the dealer and he knew exactly what I was talking about and said there are 2 different issues that cause the same problem. Fueling,valve not opening all the way and clogged vent. And yes I have never seen so many spiders as I have this year it is crazy!!

    I just purchased a pearl white 2013 edge with the apperance package. I had a 2013 Escape with the 1.6l ecoboost and I hated it. It was too smal for me (6ft. 1in and 250lbs) I kept it for about 3 months and took it back to the dealer and told them how I felt about it. They were more than accomodating and gave me most all of my money back (i put 11,000 miles on it in the 3 months I had it) to get something else. I picked out the Edge. I love it so far but, I do have a question. I ran it to empty and the refueled. To my surprise it only held 12 gallons!! So my first thought was the gas gauge is wrong but NO it wasnt completly full. On my next fill up I kept cramming gas in it and got almost 4 more gallons in it after the intial kick off!!! Anyone else experience this and is there a solution? It is going to be a huge pain for me because I track my fuel usage and MPG very closely for work and I do so by recording mileage at every fill up. If I dont get it full the results will not be acurate.
