  1. I really think CreamEdge or maybe should be CremeEdge, is still a little ticked I didn't go with the 9? Came down to what we could afford, 9 was higher, sorry. Wasn't gonna pay for things we didn't or was never going to use.

  2. Obviously I went with the Edge, had it for almost two weeks now. Going back to dealer already for tear in headliner, caused by them, steering wheel a little to the right, and drivers door won't close fully, catch just needs to be adjusted. Not a bad car yet but I do see a couple of CX9's around and wonder what if............? Oval

  3. I'm sorry I'm new to the I do have a digital camera that I owned. Should I take pictures of me driving the car. I did take pictures of the many small oil drop in my Garage which they have and the manager of the dealership and the manager of the service department looked at them plus they sent some engineer out from Ford to tell me the car was Bone dry after having my car for 8 hours. ( the that I found strange about this they did not do a write up in the system at that time before looking at the car) It was after some manger that service DFW area came out….. I ask them why do I have oil leaks in my garage if your tell me the car is bone dry. . Before purchasing this car I drove a 03 Honda accord. The Ford Edge does shift real bad. It does some kind of shudder thing when it shifts bad and kind of get stuck in different gears. The car has 18" Continental tires on it. I told them I think something is wrong with the transmission they are telling me no. My car is a FWD. And driving like it should
    :headscratch: ????????
  4. Sounds better than an X-Plan which gets you a couple hundred below invoice. I just picked up an 08 Limited AWD, White Sand, Med. Stone leather, Vista, Cargo MGMT, Weather Mats, 18" Chrome Clads for 33K. MSRP 35K. With trade and rebates 27.7K.

Your target should be able to be met if you cut out some of the frills, Nav, Power lift, Cheap Ass cargo cover, 20"s. Oval

  5. :redcard: This method "works" but you can mess up the plastic that way. All you really need to do is take the long end of the allen wrench and insert it into the hole and push in while you lift up on the head rest. There's a metal spring clip that prevents the slotted shaft on the head rest from coming all the way out. The hole allows you to push in the spring clip. You do not need to remove the plastic clip using this method.

    HTH.

YES, this is EXACTLY how I just turned my drivers headrest around!! I was going to post just that but Paul beat me to it. I used a 2mm short Allen wrench. Doug

  6. The headliner isn't really that much, they had to drop it down to fix a rattle in the BAMR, no problems since.
I'm assuming they took down what they needed to, to fix the rattle, what about each and every other piece that the headliner's attached to? The way the Service Dept. sounded apprehensive towards the headliner has me wondering, like they almost want me to just live with it?
  7. I took possession of our Edge Monday and as I was driving away, around a Rotary to be exact, I noticed a small tear up in the Headliner, right above the drivers side about 2" from the pillar. the tear is roughly 1/2" long and was NOT there when I inspected the car on Saturday.

I immediately brought the car back and brought the Sales Manager and the Service Manager out to see it. Upon seeing the tear the Service mgr. said that he would order an entire new liner, and took note of the color and the airbags.

I received a call this AM that the headliner had arrived and they wanted to make an appointment to have it installed. I had thought about this for a few days and now I'm having second thoughts about the dealer installing it!!! The woman in Service when I asked her, stated that my Edge would be the first Edge that they have put a headliner in :banghead: She said they have replaced them in Expedtions before. I told her that I could live with the tear but it had to be noted that this tear was there when we took del. of the car, and I would NOT be charged for and wear and tear when we return the Edge after the lease is up.

I asked her if it could be patched and she stated that it should be able too, but first she would have to see if they could return the headliner w/o a shipping fee. I also asked her if an aftermarket Co. would be installing the headliner and she said maybe. She needs to go over this with the Parts Mgr. as well as the Service Mgr.

I just don't want any problems down the road with a shoddy install. Who knows what could happen when the headliner is taken out and reinstalled. There is alot that has to be taken off for it to be replaced! It may or may not ever be the same, I don't want to be the guinea pig.

So what would you do if you were in my shoes? My wife sees my point too but also says that the tear could get worse if its not patched or replaced, and now that it's there we really notice it. The Service woman told me she'd get back to me by days end with an answer.

I just don't feel comfortable with this work to be done, but I don't want it to cost us $ later on, inc. having to pay for the return shipping if it goes that way??

    Thanks, Doug

  8. 1) My choice of White Sand-----Awesome color!!

    2) BAMR!!!!

    3) SYNC--So far all is well, understands very easily, phone works well too, wife is enjoying it very much!!!!

    4) The Med. Stone Leather color with the White Sand is a great match! Very Rich appearance.

    5) Love the sight lines, esp. @ traffic lights.

    6) Getting alot of stares and looks with the EDGE. Hope it's a good thing?

For me I wish it had a bit MORE cargo area! Not enough room for our GSD!!!! She's only 8 mos. and already 65lbs. I don't like that I'm seeing sand and salt up and in the black lower moulding? Needs to constantly sprayed out. Oh here I go listing gripes, wrong thread, sorry.

So far so good with our new ride, 350 miles and happy. Doug

  9. Go to SyncMyRide and register with your vin. This will get you all the manuals you need for your specific make up. It is different for those with Nav and those without.

There is also a printed manual that came with the car regarding SYNC.

Was your purchase used and you did not receive these? If so, that is where SyncMyRide will be very helpful for you.

And yes, you plug it into the USB port and use the Media button to select USB.

    Solas

This was a new purchase, and we do have the SYNC manual. I'm thinking that I need to use the headphone jack on the IPod and connect the other end into the small jack next to the USB, correct???

Like I said we tried using the USB cable and it asked to create text? I'll try again using your suggestions! Thanks Oval

  10. We also drove the 7 before we realized it was way too SMALL!!!!!!! Then we took a hard lookand drive at the CX9. Much closer in comparison to the Edge which of course we just got today!!!! I will say that the Manual Sport option on the Mazda is sweet!!!

As a side note you can put Reg. gas in the 08 CX7 this year. Oval
