  1. When I took delivery of my new 2008 Edge Limited, I was very disappointed that SYNC was incompatable with my Verizon Treo 700w phone. It wouldn't load the address book, etc. When I got home, I did some searching on the web and found JetWare http://www.jetwaremobile.com/ It seems the problem is with the various devices Bluetooth Hands-Free Profile that don't allow them to "talk" to SYNC. I downloaded their small software install (you get a free trial), loaded it on my phone and, when I went back out to the car, it linked immediately with full capability and does so every time I get in the car. The only problem I have now is that, at random while driving, SYNC will dispaly a message that the phone has disconnected. When I look at the phone, it is fine. I have to re-attach the phone in SYNC and then it will work for a few more days.
  2. I have a 2008 Edge Limited with nav and SYNC. I love the car and am very happy with it. Just a couple of minor things really tick me off and a couple more things I would like to see. Is it possible to get rid of the disclaimer page on the nav system. You have to hit the "Agree" soft button every time you start the car. I have been in many other cars with factory nav systems and have never seen this. Its a pain. I can't seem to find anyplace where the lat/long of your position is displayed. I'm a long time GPS user and would like to see my location. I am also a SkyWarn weather observer and it would be handy to be able to give an exact position when calling in an observation without having to carry an additional GPS. There is also no speed or direction display (execpt for the little compass needle when you are in Course Up mode) - pretty minor because you've always got the speedometer, but curious that they wouldn't include that info. I wonder if there is any way to get NMEA GPS data out of one of the ports???
