I have had the same problem! Driving and all of a sudden lost power was able to turn the car around so power steering was not effected but when i tried to give the car gas it was dead. That time I was close to home and did coast home, afraid to turn it off since I was on a 2 lane road. Had it towed to dealership since I was afraid to drive it. They told me they didn't find anything wrong and according to the computer it never happened??? So continued driving it but not feeling safe. OK fast forward 3 weeks it happened again, lost power, this time I was able to pull over and restart the car. This time I called the dealership and they told me they couldn't do anything unless I bring it in when the wrench warning light was on. I told them that would be a problem unless i just kept driving around there lot until it happened again. So today I went to the dealership and talked with another tech who didn't look at me like i was crazy. He said to leave it with him and he would have someone drive it around until it happened again. Unbelievable, but when the driver was on the highway it did it to him not once but twice before he could get it back. They called me and told me that it was the throttle body but they wouldn't be able to get it until the end of September, it is now the end of August. So for a month I will stay off highways and stick to the right side so I can pull over when this happens again. I won't let my children ride with me during this time since I think this is extremely dangerous. Thanks to the tech that helped today, but Ford, get it worked out.
