  1. It didn't look good so I left it alone and worked around it. Another year tops and it will be rotted through as well.
  2. Incase anyone cares here is an update. There are 2 lines. Both have a union under driver side seat. Driver side line is direct to caliper. Passenger side has another union behind tank. I found that driver side line rotted above the tank in the holder so I replaced that.
  3. There are 2 brake lines passing to the rear under the driver side. I can confirm this as there are 2 unions there as well. I'm going to end to borrow a boroscope to view above the tank and find the bad line prior to dropping the tank I guess
  4. I noticed a leak under the car and it looks like a brake line has let go above the gas tank. I can't tell if it's left or right cause I can't see above the tank. I noticed there is a union under the driver side so I can split the line there easy enough. Does anyone know if there is one above the tank? I need to figure out what side it is so I can hopefully buy a pre bent line or maybe make my own.
  5. Honestly the factory nav in my 2007 sucks. You can go aftermarket and still have the controls work with it. You can get the can bus adapters off ebay and get a real stereo.
  6. Mine is 100% linked to dvd in the rear player. No dvd no r
  7. For anyone that cares I removed the shaft and filled the rubber bushings that were bad with window urthane. That fixed the problem but when removing the shaft I found other issues.
  8. Both rear axle seals are bad in my rear end and need to be replaced. I took a look and it looks like there is nt enough roo. To pull axles out of the diff without removing the axles and thus the rear suspension... Is there a chance I can drop the diff I stead? Currently the drive shaft is out for a different reason and was wondering if this was possible. Any tips for replacing these or dropping the diff would be helpful.
  9. Those 2 parts numbers refer to the bushing between the support bushing mounting tab and the frame. PTU seals already done and not leaking. Rear end has a slow slight leak and is not very low (can stick finger in the fill hole and touch fluid) Called ford and they want over $1000 for a drive shaft to replace the crappy rubber support bushings...There has to be a way to repair this vs replace the whole thing. Id sooner sell the car then sink another $1000 into it.
  10. I have an 07 AWD that has started "thumping" under acceleration. I feel it in the floor and is load dependent not speed. It feels like the driveshaft support bushings are bad so i laid under to check it out... Well i can move the drive shaft around a fair bit with my bear hand, but there seems to be no play in the u joints. Can the bushing/support be replaced or does ford expect you to buy a whole new driveshaft to replace a piece of rubber? Can anyone confirm my suspicions regarding this issue?
  11. 125,000km just had ptu inner and outer seal done. Seems to be worse after that too. Considering another drain. And fill soon.
  12. So shudder at all. No codes either. Only one I get is 1248 and I think that's steering wheel sensor.
  13. Well after i told the dealer that fixed my bearing about the $604 i paid to fix the ptu seal he must have felt bad cause he only charged me 1hr to fix the bearing...Guess that kind of makes up for it.
  14. Well the bearing exploded stranding me 2000km from home...not impressed since ptu seal and rear axle seal went too...only 120k on the car at that.
  15. Well pulled 60 to reset. Unpluged module as well. No change. Easy access feature still works but setting seat and changing position then hitting 1 does nothing after setting.
