  1. Hey not sure if you decided on something, but just wanted to share my experience. I had this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-hideaway-8-subwoofer-with-enclosure-and-integrated-150w-amplifier-black/3526208.p?skuId=3526208for 2 weeks and returned it. It did add more bass, but not nearly enough to make a difference for $300. What I ended up with was http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-cx-series-cxa6001-1200w-class-d-mono-amplifier-with-adjustable-kickeq-bass-boost-black/4781400.p?skuId=4781400 and this https://www1.crutchfield.com/p_206VCWC122/Kicker-44VCWC122.html?tp=112. WAY better bass than the 8". I know you said she was worried about taking up cargo space, but it's pretty compact and doesn't weigh too much to remove if you need added space for a trip. Hope this helps.

  2. I'll start by saying I never check my tire pressure. My bad, just never do. Anyways out of curiosity I checked what they were at according to the in vehicle gauge. Cold, they were 3 with 30 psi and 1 was 31 psi. I checked the door jamb and recommended pressure is 35 psi. So 3 questions. Does everyone with these rims and tires maintain the 35 psi? And at what psi would the car tell they are low? Is the 30 psi really bad for the tires?

    Thanks!

  3. Hey just noticed recently that the skip button is no longer on the Sync 3 screen. Version 2.0 is missing the button. Used to be there, not sure if the update took it away. Anyways, the skip or forward button on the steering wheel does not function either. Is there anyway to skip now without using a thumbs down?

  4. I too wasn't happy with the sound. I wanted to replace all the speakers and add a 10" sub. Talked to guys at Best Buy and they talked me into leaving the speakers already in the car alone, and just adding an amp and a sub. I ended up getting a Kicker 12" in enclosed box and an amp. I turned the bass on the Sony system all the way down and just use the 12 for bass. It works perfect for me and I think the sound is great for the total price paid.

  5. Yeah I was told for mine it was a programming issue. Hope they can get you sorted. Would any info I have from engineering mode help, I don't think it shows what software it is as the software it shows me is the same as the clusters part number and that cluster is in many cars. I take it you can not see what is in the IPC without something like forscan?

Thanks for the offer. I don't anything to tell which software I have. Frankly I'm tired of having to steer the dealership in the right direction each step of this process. I really wish the communication between the dealership technicians and Ford was stronger. I have only owned Ford products in my life. I traded in 2009 ecpape that had zero issues EVER. Now this issue, while only one issue, is just testing me. MAny phone calls and visits since last May about this issue and still jot resolved. I'm not one to say "i'll never come back" after an issue or 2, but this is just constant ball dropping by both Ford and the dealer.

  6. Mostly they only get involved when the dealership is headscratching, or if there is a report of terrible customer service against the dealership, situations like that. The dealership has a lot of autonomy, as it is an independent franchise. So you have to be sure to assert your rights as a customer when needed.

I get all of that. My thing is I think the headscratching started a week ago, with them having no clue on how to enable this. Why wasn't the dealer being "offered" these resources before? I'm really not sure whose fault it is at this point. I'm thinking they are a little inept at the dealership if they can't figure this out, but ford says I need to go back to this one again.

  7. Ok I'm going to get this thread back in line. So I got my car back a while back. Everything seemed fine. Then I read on here that somebody got their vehicle back and the adaptive steering selections were greyed out. Went to check mine, and sure enough mine were also. Been going on 2 weeks now that the dealership is "looking" into this issue to get it resolved. Beyond frustrating!

  8. And actually, I wasn't scared driving it with the wheel like that. It wasn't loose or anything, that was just the new center. Just if something did happen I didn't want to be liable. They actually wanted me to come back the next or following day when they would have a loaner for me. After thinking about it for a bit, the service manager miraculously found a car for me.

Yeah, I had same thing, freaky and not in a good way :) I guess I thought that if the steering wheel got replaced, the Clock Spring was a part of that, but from what you say, they are two separate things. Hmmm. My car is driving like it should and I enjoy it, but the fact that my steering wheel did not get replaced as well leaves me...

I assume they are seperate parts. On my 2nd or 3rd visit (in September), they determined that I needed the clock spring but Ford didn't have an updated part for it. I called in November. Still no part. Finally end of December the wheel issue happened and drove it straight to the dealer. Couple days later it was determined that I needed a new steering wheel (also?), but they were back-ordered. Why couldn't they just pull one off the line? I dunno. Like I said fingers crossed.

  10. Finally (crossing fingers) my saga is over. Clock spring and new steering wheel for me. It was in the shop this last time for 13 days and got it back on Tuesday. No new error msgs yet! The messages came and went many times, but this last time when I brought it in my steering wheel had not been straight. Gave me a 17 Fusion loaner car. It was nice, but super pumped to get my sport back!

  11. Ok. Tried it again this morning in my loaner Fusion. It did NOT work correctly again. Stops after 6 seconds. I did get it to play completely through after that though. I reset bluetooth on my phone and played again. Not sure if resetting the bluetooth helped it. My guess actually though is if you have already heard the message, and attempt to replay, it works fine. Only issue is when it's a new message. I'll keep playing with it.
