  1. Personally, I think AA has a buggy connection in general. I've used maybe a half dozen usb cables and while at the beginning AA works good, it is short lived and have to find a new cord. Have no idea why it does it. It'll connect for a couple seconds, then disappears. A lot of connecting and re-connecting. I think I read that version 3.0 has updated AA.
  2. I'm of no help, but if you're not a member of Ford Edge World Wide on Facebook, you should be. Lots of people there to help. And I know somebody will have an answer for you. https://www.facebook.com/groups/fordedgedriversunited/
  3. The problem is that the maps are provided by a 3rd party, and both Ford and the 3rd party don't seem to care about them being outdated. Really strange as the updates cost us money, you would think this company would be interested in making money.
  4. The maps are so out of date it is sad. I'm guessing at least 4 years old.
  5. Hey not sure if you decided on something, but just wanted to share my experience. I had this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-hideaway-8-subwoofer-with-enclosure-and-integrated-150w-amplifier-black/3526208.p?skuId=3526208for 2 weeks and returned it. It did add more bass, but not nearly enough to make a difference for $300. What I ended up with was http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-cx-series-cxa6001-1200w-class-d-mono-amplifier-with-adjustable-kickeq-bass-boost-black/4781400.p?skuId=4781400 and this https://www1.crutchfield.com/p_206VCWC122/Kicker-44VCWC122.html?tp=112. WAY better bass than the 8". I know you said she was worried about taking up cargo space, but it's pretty compact and doesn't weigh too much to remove if you need added space for a trip. Hope this helps.
  6. Thanks for the info! I really never had paid too much attention before, but these tires are expensive! I've put in in Google calendar to check them monthly from now on.
  7. Maybe that is why was gas mileage seems to be lower lately too. Dummy me!
  8. I'll start by saying I never check my tire pressure. My bad, just never do. Anyways out of curiosity I checked what they were at according to the in vehicle gauge. Cold, they were 3 with 30 psi and 1 was 31 psi. I checked the door jamb and recommended pressure is 35 psi. So 3 questions. Does everyone with these rims and tires maintain the 35 psi? And at what psi would the car tell they are low? Is the 30 psi really bad for the tires? Thanks!
  9. Hey just noticed recently that the skip button is no longer on the Sync 3 screen. Version 2.0 is missing the button. Used to be there, not sure if the update took it away. Anyways, the skip or forward button on the steering wheel does not function either. Is there anyway to skip now without using a thumbs down?
  10. Hey Shawn- This is the only other thing I bought (except for the bass control). Not sure if the kit included it or not. Sorry couldn't be more helpful. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-z-series-2-channel-amplifier-installation-kit/9906707.p?skuId=9906707
  11. I too wasn't happy with the sound. I wanted to replace all the speakers and add a 10" sub. Talked to guys at Best Buy and they talked me into leaving the speakers already in the car alone, and just adding an amp and a sub. I ended up getting a Kicker 12" in enclosed box and an amp. I turned the bass on the Sony system all the way down and just use the 12 for bass. It works perfect for me and I think the sound is great for the total price paid. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-cx-series-cxa6001-1200w-class-d-mono-amplifier-with-adjustable-kickeq-bass-boost-black/4781400.p?skuId=4781400 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kicker-comps12-12-single-voice-coil-2-ohm-loaded-subwoofer-enclosure-black/9065468.p?skuId=9065468
  12. What did they replace last time? I had the clock spring and a new steering wheel replaced early this year and no issues again.
  13. Thanks for the offer. I don't anything to tell which software I have. Frankly I'm tired of having to steer the dealership in the right direction each step of this process. I really wish the communication between the dealership technicians and Ford was stronger. I have only owned Ford products in my life. I traded in 2009 ecpape that had zero issues EVER. Now this issue, while only one issue, is just testing me. MAny phone calls and visits since last May about this issue and still jot resolved. I'm not one to say "i'll never come back" after an issue or 2, but this is just constant ball dropping by both Ford and the dealer.
  14. I get all of that. My thing is I think the headscratching started a week ago, with them having no clue on how to enable this. Why wasn't the dealer being "offered" these resources before? I'm really not sure whose fault it is at this point. I'm thinking they are a little inept at the dealership if they can't figure this out, but ford says I need to go back to this one again.
