:stats: Let your voice be heard........ Not saying you will also experience problems with your Edge like I have. Just to give you some of my issues. I have a 2007 Edge FWD purchased new this year. A few of my concerns are: Oil leaks, Transmission issues(car getting stuck is gears), rollback while driving and you are on an incline(My Edge does not HOLD), major paint issues where some of the areas not painted at all or some of the painted areas is wrinkled. FUMES!!! That’s right FUMES entering into the cabin (My guess is it might be a coolant leak due to the smell). Also, my Edge is not running smooth, sometimes it feels like I am driving a jeep and the car also continues to drift to the right. I have taken my Edge to the dealership time and time again, and on just about all the issues the dealership gave me their famous words: "TEST DROVE AND WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE" I even contacted Ford motor company directly and all they did was back the dealership without question. Heaven forbid the dealership missed something! The last words Ford gave me were: Go to the BBB! (Better Business Bureau)I purchased the 2007 Ford Edge SEL new this year in Feb. of 2008 from a local dealership here is Dallas, Texas. I have fumes which I think is coolant coming into the car. IT makes me feel very sick. Contact Five Star Ford. North Richland Hills Texas. They keep the car for hours on end. When I get it back it always the same answer. Test Drove and could not duplicate fumes. I think the only thing that has been done is a pressure test .

I have fumes coming into the car that is making me sick and my family. the only thing they have done to try and see if I have a problem in TEST DRIVE and I think they might have done a pressure check.

what is oil cooler. I think my Edge is leaking something also. I seems fumes are getting into the car. Guess what Ford can duplicate our find. My ford place in so many words said report them to the BBB.

I understand my edge was also built in Canada. I unerstands how you are feeling. I'm having a lot of problems myself. thanks for getting back to me and good luck with your issues.I will say a prayer for you.

Did the dealership fix the problem for you? How long did it take for the sound to get that loud? I'm also hearing noise when I apply the brakes but it has not gotten very loud yet. I have a 2007 Edge SEL that I purchased this year in Feb. The brake noise is the loudest in the morning or when it has been parked for maybe 3 hours. Normally, 9 out of 10 times when I have taken my Edge in for service the dealership states they were not able to duplicate there no work were preformed. It’s hard to believe we are all having the same problem but the dealership can’t find the problem or don’t want to find the problem.

That's what I do. The problem is I should not have to. I'm glad your edge does not do that.

I have a 2007 Sel Edge FWD that also rolls back. When I ask the dealership about it they tell me it's normal. I don’t believe that. My 2003 accord never rolled back. The edge will roll back when I just park it in the garage and on a hill. The last thing I need is to role back into someone. This does not sound normal to me. I’m scared one day after parking the edge in my garage when I wake up the next morning the car will be in the middle of the street. Now when I go to the dealership I want it all in writing your not going to tell me it just normal.

I understand how you are feeling. I purchased my Edge maybe a month ago and have noticed the same thing. The dealership wants to repaint it. Repainting the car is not good enough. I don't see how a paint job from a body shop will match the paint job from the factory. I have had cars repainted due to car accidents and they never last they are crack. Not sure what my next move will be .

I'm sorry I'm new to the I do have a digital camera that I owned. Should I take pictures of me driving the car. I did take pictures of the many small oil drop in my Garage which they have and the manager of the dealership and the manager of the service department looked at them plus they sent some engineer out from Ford to tell me the car was Bone dry after having my car for 8 hours. ( the that I found strange about this they did not do a write up in the system at that time before looking at the car) It was after some manger that service DFW area came out….. I ask them why do I have oil leaks in my garage if your tell me the car is bone dry. . Before purchasing this car I drove a 03 Honda accord. The Ford Edge does shift real bad. It does some kind of shudder thing when it shifts bad and kind of get stuck in different gears. The car has 18" Continental tires on it. I told them I think something is wrong with the transmission they are telling me no. My car is a FWD. And driving like it should

:wacko: I just purchased a new 2007 edge not even a month ago and I’ve been having one problem after another. I found oil spots in my garage; The car seams to get stuck in certain gears. Which makes it very hard to stop? I can feel every bump in the road. I have taken the car into the dealer many times and they can not verify any of the problems. I wish I never purchased this car
