  1. Hi Sloanie, I'm as new here as you are and this conversation should probably be taking place on the mods & tech thread but...I ran across a plug n play wiring harness addition called "Lock Pick" that I think will allow you to get your rear view camera working. Try this web site: www.coastaletech.com and look for the unit that works for Ford products in general and Edge in particular. If I'm wrong about the application working for your vehicle, hopefully someone here will correct me. I have no connection with this company or product just an intrrest in a possible purchase myself.
  2. Hi All, Just wanted to stop in and say hi. Purchased new 2014 Edge Sport in metallic white the middle of November. We bought it to replace wife's 2007 Saturn AWD Vue with 85k miles. Wanted something a little larger with more interior room. The Edge meets those requirements. The Sport model was for me and I'm having fun whenever I can talk her out of it. Located in South Florida so not much need for AWD this time plus I was concerned about gas mileage transitioning from the Saturn. See you later down the road.
  3. I installed a mirror mount for a radar detector and planned to pull power from the wiring cable running from the overhead console to the rear view mirror. I removed the overhead console and disconnected the electrical plug. There are three wires running to the plug: one black, one green/yellow striped, and one grey/purple striped. The power cable to the detector has two wires, one red and one white. I assume the black wire from the overhead console and the white wire from the detector are ground wires. Does anyone have any thoughts on which of the striped wires are power? Or should I run a power cable for the detector to a fuse block somewhere else? Thank you.
