I bought my 14 Edge Sport on 1/2/15 with 2 miles on it and have just over 1,600 on it now. I'm fortunate to live less than 2 miles from my office so miles don't rack up quickly.

Hello all! I have a 2014 Edge Sport AWD with literally 500 miles on it I bought in January. The SUV is new to me I've always owned European sports cars, but with my wife and I expecting soon I figured why not try an SUV... So far I'm I like most things about the edge except for this ridiculously annoying issue with my backup camera. I've had it to the dealership twice and both times so far I've got the "we're sorry we couldn't replicate the problem" excuse both times. Wouldn't you know as soon as I get in the car it acts up again... So needless to say I'm a bit disappointed in the service department compared to my Audi dealers service on my other cars. The issue is 90% of the time I use the backup camera and go from reverse to drive the touch screen goes into the phone menu instead back to the home menu. Now normally this would be a minor annoyance if you could just simply click back to home but you cannot. In order to get back to the home menu I literally will have to click on the bottom left Entertainment screen and once it loads I can click on home. If you try to touch any other place on the screen it is completely unresponsive until you go to the entertainment screen. Has anyone else had this issue? If so was there some resolution the dealer was able to provide or have you just had to live with this on a brand new vehicle? The build date on the car was 12/2014 and it is completely up to date with all SYNC releases. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I went with the DDM tuning 55w 5000k HID kit on my 2014 edge sport and they are MUCH better than the stock crappy halogen headlights. For like $55 shipped you can't beat it and it they only take a few min to install. It to this day blows my mind that the edge sport is the most expensive model edge that for offers yet it comes with halogen lights and the edge limited comes with HIDS factory.

I picked mine up and 2 days later I had tinted the 2 front windows to match the rear and the windshield is also fully tinted at 35%. I just got spoiled with the auto dimming side mirrors and other creature comforts on all of my prior and current Audi's. I have a ddm 55w 4500K HID kit being delivered today so hopefully that will fix that annoyance haha. Just hope I don't have any of the issues with them firing correctly when using the auto on/off like I've read some have. Yeah, I'd be curious how you like the X5 no matter which you get. I think the edge will likely be a 2 or 3 year vehicle for me also. If I end up loving the SUV I'll likely end up picking up the SQ5 or the X5M next.

I'm glad I'm not alone with these annoyances. I literally just picked up a brand new 14 edge sport 1/2/15 (had 2 miles on it and has like 350 now) for the same reasons. I came from a 2011 Audi s4 and with a little one on the way it just made sense to get rid of it and into an SUV. I've been a log time loyal Audi customer but I couldn't justify 65-70k for the SQ5 and I wouldn't be caught dead in a regular Q5. I've always thought the edge sport was nice looking and for a savings a literally 20k+ I decided to take a chance with the sport. I like most everything about the edge so far minus the lack of all windows being 1 touch, lack of full power passenger seat, lack of HID's and non auto dimming side mirrors. I'd be curious how you feel about the X5. Is it the X5M?
