I would like to buy the Edge, but can't because of one design issue- the antenna that sticks up in the dead front center of the roof. This is a problem because I'm a surfer, and the antenna prevents me from mounting surfboards on my roof (I use longboards). It's amazing to me that so many companies are now designing crossovers vehicles with those antenna in the dead center on the roof (except Lexus, which puts it to the side, and Mercedes and BMW who use low-profile antennae). This prevents anyone from really using the roof racks for sufborads, snowboards or other such items. And no, the longboards won't fit inside the car or to one side of the antenna. Is there any way to have the antenna moved to the side? And why is everyone putting them in the center now?
