how much better do these cars drive with AWD vs FWD? i live in an area where we dont get snow. AWD might benefit very rarely when on a road trip but harsh conditions are almost always avoidable. Is awd better for cornering? not sure if i should exclude all the front wheel drive cars i keep seeing. thanks

i am looking at buying a used edge sport Awd 2011 or newer. What is the maintenance schedule on these. i have never owned a newer car but i know they need timing belts and other things done at certain mileage intervals. What do these cars need other than the normal fluids and filters. Thank You

i am looking for a 2011 or newer white edge sport with awdand panoramic roof. i have been looking on craigslist, ebay, cars.com and carmax. any other places you guys look for cars? i know i am going to have to travel i live in a small town in oregon. Thanks

i am looking into buying a used edge sport. I like the feature some of them have where if you have the key in your pocket when you walk up to the car you can open the door without pushing a button. Is this called the "driver entry package"? If the car has the push button start does it have that feature also? Looking into buying a 2012, or a 13 at the right price.

I don't think we will look at the mkx. Don't like the looks of the grill, love the look of the edge sport.

i have driven an edge sport but it has been a while. We drove a gas v6 touareg on a really windy country road and loved it. I am torn between the awd touareg and the edge sport awd. The edge wins on looks hands down but i am concerned about road noise. The touareg seemed really quiet inside. my big concern with a vw is maintenance and repair costs, i would assume they are quite a bit more expensive than a ford. thankyou

looking for an edge either black or white sport used. with some short reading on here tonight it looks like i should be looking for one newer than a 2011. i know we want awd and sunroof for sure. with the new model coming out will these older generation cars show a drop in value? i dont want to buy one now and wish i had waited until the 2015 new model came out to find one much cheaper. i have driven an edge sport before but never on a windy road, test drove a new vw touareg on a windy road and it drove awesome. are these sports comparable? i live in a very small town so i would have to travel at least 2 1/2 hours to even drive the sport. we have sat in them along with many other suv's and the edge and touareg are all we like. Edge sport is better looking and seem to be more available. thanks
