My 2008 Edge was not leaking when i got the letter in December... but the last 2 times i put gas, it leaked in my garage and smelled a lot... so to Ford i went to have it checked out... and they confirmed that it's the recalled fuel tank issue YAY i was told because mine is the 2 wheel drive only, the wait is "only" 6 to 8 months (so July to September 2015) and that 4 wheel drive are currently looking at Oct 2015 to January 2016 so i should feel lucky :o Apparently aftermarkets fuel tanks can't even be purchased right now and the last ones were selling for $6,000! How crazy is this!!! So i got a rental paid for by Ford and am hoping they will find a solution really soon because i already miss MY car even though my rental is the same category cross over vehicle :/
