  1. Nothing new installed in my home but I do have a firehouse literally across the street wonder if they are up to something? This morning the keys work again. If it happens again I guess I'm going to have to knock on doors and ask questions. Thanks.
  2. I have had my new Ford Edge for a few months. Today for the first time my key fob didn't work when my car was in front of my home. figured it was in need of a battery. But then my cousin pulls up in his new Ford F150 and his key fob doesn't work either. We drive our vehicles a few blocks away and both key fobs work fine. We come back to my home and again they will not work in front of my house. I did some searching and it sounds like interference but I've never had this problem before and have no clue as to what to do about it. Any advice?
  3. Thanks for the response, but the tweeters are not in the door, they are up in the pillars by the windshield. The reason for doing this is to get better tone from the door speakers, as mentioned I find the mid bass to be too spikey.
  4. I have a 2014 Edge with the 290w Sony Premium system. The front door speakers are mid drivers and I find them to be a little heavy with the mid bass... Ive heard good things about the Alpine and other coax and I wouldnt mind adding some additional tweeter detail in the front... Has anyone tried this? Will the coax get the full frequency or are the front door speakers only getting the mid frequencies?... thanks.
  5. OK thanks for those answers.... but what is the point then of having a surround mode and a center dash speaker?!
  6. I have a 2014 Edge Limited with the Sony premium system, is it TRUE 5.1 surround with CDs.... Before I purchase a couple SACD 5.1 CDs to try out, Im wondering if the Sony system will play them as true surround and not the lame simulated surround? Thanks.
  7. I have searched and cant seem to find the answer.... Before I purchase a couple SACD 5.1 CDs to try out, Im wondering if the Sony system will play them as true surround and not the lame simulated surround?
  8. So I have read some complaints about the 390w system that I have in my '14 Limited and I agree with them... the bass is way too boomy and there is too much emphasis in the upper bass / lower mids.... I found myself reducing the bass well below the center '0' mark to lessen the spiking upper bass but then lower sub bass was being sacrificed. I listen to music stored on my iphone and Ive always left the iphone music player EQ turned to off (flat).... Well if you use an Iphone or an Ipod, try this... select 'bass reducer' in the EQ setting... This made a huge difference. I am now able to increase the bass on the Sony system and it is now fat and warm and the mids you want to hear come through really well... and when I crank it up, there is plenty of bass but Im not getting ear fatigue from over accentuated mid bass!... I know its not ideal to play source music anything other than flat, but this Edge stereo really benefitted from this... sounds great now.
