How did the replacement work im.having this issue on my 2014.. drivers side only

im looking to remove scratches on the piano black trim in the center console on my 2014 edge limited... unfortunetly i dont see a dash kit to cover it helping since it has the touch panel climate control and you cant really cover those buttons... has anyone used anything to remove swirls from this area
