  1. Uhhhh Perk..... I just checked one of the on-line sites with the Genuine Ford Warranty. Looks like the same (Premium Care) one that you just re-bought runs $1010, assuming 2WD.

Also, which warranty did you get (Preminum Care/ Extra Care?), Make sure you know which one you have. Coverage is very different. Ya might still want to turn that one back in.

No, the dealer's service department doesn't care if you bought it from them or not. Selling warranties is part of sales. Fixin' cars is part of service.

Try flood ford esp to compare.

I don't think the dealer is doing you any favors.

    Just sayin....

  2.

    Nope, custom ones. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-TrailGear-2-Floor-Liners-by-WeatherTech174/1088481.uts

    I stand

  3. Perk: Sounds like you did great on the vehicle. However, I think that you got "had" on the warranty.... Take a look around at threads on the Genuine Ford Warranty (not after-market crap). Depending on the years to get the 100K and your deductible, the cost should be in the $1000 range, not $2000. You should still be able to cancel your warranty and reorder through an on-line source... saving about $1K. Here is one link: check .lombardfordwarrantys .

  4. You don't lose the voice commands. Nor do you lose the traffic for 5 years.

The only thing that you should lose after the initial trial period is the Sirius Radio itself. You can get that much cheaper than the advertised price if you check around on the web. Once you tell them to cancel, you get pushed up a level in Customer Support. You should get a super discount on Sirius if you want it.

For examples on pricing, check the Satellite Radio forum on www.satelliteguys.us

  5. Just a "Quick Hit" and will follow with more details:

    2015 Titanium. 4 Cyl 2WD, Bronze Fire.

Purchased on a business trip in Virginia 2 weeks ago. Drove it for business and pleasure and am now driving it back to Texas.

    - Absolutely Love It!

    - Currently about 2000 miles.

    - Good News: Gas Mileage traveling at about 70 MPH through hills of Kentucky (A/C ON) about 28 MPG with 2 passengers and luggage. Seems to do better when flatter and a bit slower. I'm impressed with the MPG considering terrain and I'm still breaking in the car.

    - I have sync on my Ford C-Max Energi and am already familiar. It works about "as good as it gets" with the current version of Sync. No major reboots or failures. It gets the job done.

    - Lane Keeper is OK, but it is a strange feeling when it tries to guide you back into your lane. I am leaving it on "Medium- Notify" only.

    - Auto Tailgate: Works with the trailer hitch, but seems a bit fussy. See other posts.

    - Most Thrilling Moment: Semi in front of us going 70 MPH blew a rear trailer tire. Sounded like a gunshot! Managed to dodge tire shrapnel for about 1/2 mile. It was great to have the tire pressure monitors show the pressure of each tire. I watched it for several minutes to make sure that I hadn't picked up a bunch of shrapnel.

    - Needs Improvement: The angle of the screen on the MFT produces a lot of glare. Have already had to clean it a couple of times to see past the finger prints.

    - Seat coolers are a bit tepid for me. Not real strong. Cooling seems to be in in the seat, not in the back.

  6. I checked with the good folks at www.bodysidemoldings.com . They have the moldings for the 2015

Edge, but they aren't posted to their website as of yet. Call the 800 number if you are interested. Price is $139.95. I will order mine in the next few days. Attached is a picture that they sent to me.

I've bought from them before for Fords and Toyotas. Their product quality is excellent and their color match has been perfect on the ones that I bought.

Not too tough to install. You use the heights included with the instructions. Use blue painter's tape on the car to make the landmarks for the moldings. Use a swab to prep the area, and then put them on using the double-faced tape on the moldings. Easy Peasy!

Attached is the picture that they sent to me.

(( Disclosure: I have no interest in company whatsoever. I'm just a repeat satisfied customer, passing along information to my friends.))

  7. I stopped by a very large ford dealer today looking for the cargo cover and the cargo floor liner.

Bad news..... According to the dealer:

    - They aren't making the (rollerblind) style cargo cover for the 15 Edge. The thing that he brought out was some sort of cloth deal that snaps in. I didn't like it at all. I passed.

    - The floor cargo cover that supposedly would work, was also the same one for the previous model (Danger Alert!) We took it out to the car. It seemed very cheap and flimsy compared to other brands. If this was the right fit, It sure wasn't very well done. Again, I passed.

    Good News....

I e-mailed the Husky Liner folks. They say that they are developing one that should be out "shortly" . They will e-mail me when it is available. I will try to post when I get mine. I suspect that Weathertec won't be too far behind Husky.

If anyone finds out better information. Please post.
