  1. I bought one of the first 2015 Ford Edge Titaniums built on day 2 on 02/29/15. I have the following issues that Ford cannot solve:

    1. The sensors around the car go off when nothing is near me. Ford says since the default is Self Park on, it is overloading the computer thus making the sensors to fail. They have no fix for this.

    2. The rear liftgate has closed 5 times with people loading things when no one has placed their feet under the bumper. The first time it happened to me and there was no safety to stop it from closing on me. Ford cannot find problem with this issue. This could be dangerous if it just closed if a little kid was there.

Is anyone else having any of these issues. Mine is a loaded Titanium with sticker $46,900

  2. Has anyone heard of the 2015 Edge being able to upgrade to Sync 3 in September. I saw an email that said that last month. Maybe they are doing it on the 2015 Edge because of these problems. Is there anyone from Ford on this forum to verify this? If not I am trading mine in with 12,000 miles and taking a big loss on it. I took mine into the dealer 2 weeks ago with about 10 issues on it and they found nothing. They said they loaded the latest version of all the software and I was supposed to watch for them happening again.

  3.

I was at the Chicago Auto this past Sunday and went to the Ford booth and asked if I could talk to someone from Detroit. I talked to a fellow named Pat.

I got a 2015 Ford Edge Titanium the end of March 2015 and it was built on 2/25/15 so it was within the original 2/28/15 build cutoffs.

All I wanted from him was someone to talk to that could tell me what happened in the Oakville, Canada plant that caused all the problems and what has happened

since, stop sales and all. I got my letter in June and brought it in to the dealer as soon as I got it.

Basically what he told me was that I don't have the problem so why am I so concerned. I did not like his attitude and if that is the impression Ford is projecting

this will be my first and last Ford. I am 70 years old and have bought probably 10-15 new cars in my lifetime.

I told him that if Mulcahy was still the CEO I do not thing Ford would have that attitude towards customers. I know you should not judge a company by some of it's

people but I would think the most senior person at the Chicago Auto Show would have been different.

    Sincerely,

  4. I bought my 2015 Edge on 04/21/15 and it had a 02/27/15 production date. Last for digits of VIN are 5611. I did not have any signs of water on the carpets but I brought it in for the letter I got and they applied something. I am now getting a strange smell out of the vents that is more prevalent when the air is on. How do I know that this smell is not from water sitting somewhere even though my mats did not seem to have water? I brought my car in to the dealer last monday and they said they smelled something and applied some kind of spray on the cabin filter that Ford provided. I did bring my car in on 07/15/15 because the ABS Light and Advance TRAC light came on. The mechanic said the codes from car had shown that there was a communication error between 3 control units but did not know what caused the lights to come on. They only came on once and not again. How do I know that some water did not seep in and get into the cables under the floor mats and cause this issue. Because of this issue is my car going be worth less when I trade it in because of these issues?
