  1. Do you mean this one? "Keep your Edge looking sharp with the cutting-edge style of this body kit. Officially licensed by Ford, the components are manufactured in flexible high-pressure injected urethane. 8-piece kit includes front and rear valances, left and right side skirts, 4 door caps (and 2 chrome exhaust tips). Available primed (ready to paint) or pre-painted in select colors. NOTE: This is a Ford Licensed Accessories product; see dealer for limited warranty and other details."
  2. Sorry all, not the shifting of the transmission but the actual shifter handle itself. Rig? Being from MI, we had cars, trucks, pickups, semi's, etc. When I moved to OR, I learned that they refer to everything as a rig. Usually I don't know what to call this vehicle. It's not a car or a truck. When I refer to it at home I just say "the Edge".
  3. Bump Anyone? I'm taking my rig in on Monday and any info would help. What does your shifter feal like? Is it smooth? or Is it like other cars that you can feal the thump-thump-thump while going from one gear to the next? Thanks
  4. I was lurking through some posts and came across one where an owner had an odometer that was reading way off. This got me to thinking about our used '07 SEL FWD (20,000 miles) because my wife complained about going through a lot a fuel this week. She had used nearly a full tank going over the mountain pass from 300ft to 4800ft. So....I filled up this morning and had a chance to get on the highway. I reset my garmin nuvi 200 gps, my blackberry gps and the message center info. I set the cruise at 61mph and made two lane changes and no braking. The results reported from each: Edge Trip=27.6mi MPG=28.7 Avg mph=60 Garmin Trip=27.8mi Avg mph=60 Blackberry Trip=27.7 Avg mph=60 Again, I started thinking. I believe this Edge was broken in at highway speeds. I did that when I bought my last new car and it got 24-25hwy when some others were getting 15hwy. Did you drive your car at hwy speeds for the first 1000, 5000 or 10000 miles? If so, how's your MPG? Did you drive your car around town, 25-45mph for the first 1000, 5000 miles? If so, how's your MPG? I'll have to see what the city/hwy mixed mpg is. I'm also curious if the mpg from the message center is correct or if it's using 'three stooges math' to just show me what I'd like to see. I'll have to get a couple of tanks through it and do my own math versus trusting the ford algorithm outright.
  5. Does anyone know of or has anyone heard of a way to add to or reprogram the message center to show the instantaneous MPG as well as the average MPG. I have this on my ’88 Tbird and it has helped me change driving habits. It’s helped me with things like finding the right pedal pressure when leaving a stop light or climbing a hill so I get the best fuel mileage. The other thing that would be nice is to see the 'gallons of fuel used'. These are some of the readouts that I have on my Ford Tripminder and all of the info is already there on the Edge because the PCM and/or BCM are using those signals. It would be nice if we could get the BCM to show these readouts on the message center. While I'm at it, how about getting the message center to show the live specific tire pressure for each tire. Maybe something that shows LeftFront/40psi, RightFront/31psi, etc? That way those of us that are neurotic could check the 'info' while we're driving.
  6. Something that I miss on my ’07 Edge that my ’06 Equinox had is the outside temp sensor. I’ve browsed around I can’t really find any info on it. Was it part of an option package? Can it be added?
  7. I know that the unlock issue has been covered but I’m wondering if anyone has found a way around the delay where the drivers door must be opened first? I’d like to find out if there’s a way to program the AutoUnlock so that all the doors unlock when the vehicle is put in to Park.
  8. Check and see if the Parrot is first on the list in your phone. If so, maybe change the order so Sync is first.
  9. We test drove an '07 SE and noticed that when the shifter was moved to any position that we could not feel the transition. There was NO 'thunk-thunk-thunk' when going from Park-Nuetral-Drive like every other car we've owned. We ended up buying a used '07 SEL and the shifter was smooth like the SE. There was no noise and you could not feal the shifter go between gears. Now, two days later, I can feal and hear everything in the shifter as you move it between gears. What gives? What does your shifter feal like?
