I ran into the same problem but discovered that it is actually quite simple to remove the emblem and bezel together. The bezel is held to the front grill by three flat plastic tabs. After loosening the top grill shroud so I could get my arm down behind the emblem, I was able to slightly press down with my fingers on the two lower tabs enough to release them from the grill. Once they released the bottom of the bezel, I could then press up on the third tab near the top of the oval, and the bezel assembly came off. The emblem is fastened to the bezel with two tinnerman nuts that screw down on the two large plastic posts on the back of the emblem. I unscrewed the nuts (I think 10mm socket) from the old emblem and used them to fasten the new emblem to the bezel. After replacing the emblem, I merely snapped the bezel back in place. It all took about 15 minutes - most of that to figure out how it was held in place. I'm sorry for the wordiness, but I could not figure out how to post my photo of the bezel backside showing the tabs.
