  1. Hello, Back in November my heated and cooled seats went out at the same time. I hit the red or blue seat buttons and it just turns on for two seconds and then is out. Fuses are good!. After some research online mostly pointing to the MKZ I have found that the temp. control module under the drivers seat can fail and or the ground wire in the connector for it will fail. I have already sourced the parts, but wanted to reach out and see if anyone else had this replaced before? Thank you!
  2. I did a temp fix for my rattle. I wrapped two layers of duct tape around the door latch bar to make it thicker and the noise went away. Looks like my motorized latch isnt grabbing the little bar tight enough. May have to adjust or replace.
  3. I agree with ya, I guess what I was trying to say is it should be a recall if they all fail this early. Mazda was helping customers with the same issue and part on the cx-9
  4. Also, my PTU is leaking. After researchING this issue I may consider getting rid of this American pos and going back to German cars. Can't believe ford won't acknowledged the problem, but hey Volkswagen in a ton of trouble too so I guess they all suck
  5. Sorry for the late reply. I finally removed the trim panel and everythings tight except the lift gate itself lol. With the panel off I was able to get a grip on the gate. I can rock it it back and forth and here the noise. My latch isn't tight, not sure how to adjust without screwing it up just yet
  6. Thanks for this by the way. I will get it removed and make sure everythings tight. I may also check under the car and make sure the exhuast and bumper mounts are tight. @Bruceifer. First thing I checked was the plate and it only had the top bolts. Bought a plate hardware kit at walley world, but nothing changed..I will also check the taillights and just about anything else I can think of. I really hate interior ratlles haha.
  7. Sounds like metal hitting plastic. I dont yet know how to remove the panel on the hatch. Theres 4 screws holding the bottom part on and thats it. looks like you may have to snap the rest out of its place which usually meants breaking something you dont want to. I dont see anyscrews or anything missing, but when the hatch is open I can smack it with my hand and kinda hear the noise. Sounds different when its open.
  8. Thanks for the replies. I too saw that encloser on ebay. The 2010 trimings should be the same.
  9. Hello, My mkX has a rattle in the liftgate area when I hit bigger bumps. The noise used to be a lot more consistant until I took some white grease to my door latchs on all 5 doors, rear seat brackets, and every rubber stopper. Helped a lot, but I still hear that rattle in my liftgate that makes my Lincoln sound super cheaper then it already is haha. Anyways, before I try to remove the liftgate trim has anyone else had this problem? I had a friend drive the car as I sat in the back and the noise IS coming from inside the liftgate.
  10. Hello all, First time poster here. I am looking to purchase a used Subwoofer enclosure for my base model MKX. I will also be purchasing a better unit to put in this as well and I already have a amp to replace the factory one. Has anyone done this before? Looks pretty easy, I figured I'd go with the OEM unit cause I need the hauling space. Can't have any boxes back there.
