  1. Thank you for the heads up. They are listing it as AT4Z-7251-G. I’ll confirm that this is the latest version.
  2. Thanks everyone for the information. I was looking and the needed parts right away would be a passenger side drive axle and the intermediate shaft (to take the place of the PTO). With IWRBB indicating that the cast is different (very good info to know) it might not be feasible. Gutting the PTO with the exception of the shaft that passes through it doesn't sound like a good idea either. Looks like rockauto sells a DORMAN unit (part number 600234) for about $593 and I can find a %5 coupon to add to that. I also found a seller on ebay selling new OEM units for $550 free shipping. The 2nd option sounds like the best bet right now.
  3. I was also thinking of going a similar route, but I'm not sure if it's possible. Remove the PTO and driveshaft. Then replace the passenger side drive axle with a FWD unit. I'm not sure what the difference is between the AWD and FWD transmissions.
  4. Ok so it looks like my PTO is going. It has the wonderful vent tube spitting gear oil issue. Has anyone ever converted their AWD to FWD. Mine is a 2007 and really don’t want to dump $600 (can do the swap myself) into a vechiel that is aging. Upon that thought I considered converting it to strictly FWD. seems like the easiest process would be to remove the gears from the PTO and take the drive shaft down. Just curious of everyone’s thoughts.
  5. Just an update in case someone has the same issue: I replaced the Stability Control Cluster (YAW rate sensor) and Steering Wheel Position Sensor; symptoms did not change. I then dug into the wiring diagrams to see what was involved (not a whole lot). ABS Module, Stability Control Sensor, Steering Wheel Angle Sensor, and the PCM. After looking at the diagrams I decided to start checking connectors and inspecting wires. (Result) I found that the ground wire for the Stability Control Cluster (YAW Rate Sensor) was loose and causing the signal going to the ABS Module to be intermittent. The ground is located under the paneling towards the top of the Right Tail light. Wires for the YAW Sensor are: Black/Green - Ground Yellow/Grey - Power (12v) Green/Orange - HS CAN2+ (data) Blue/White - HS CAN2- (data)
  6. Ran the OBD scanner and it gave me a B211B error (Older bluetooth version used with the TORQUE app). I have some other errors as well (looks like Yaw Rate Sensor may be bad). I also just changed the steering wheel position sensor. Anyone have any idea what this might be? I have searched this site as well as the with no luck. 2007 Ford Edge AWD SEL-Plus
  7. Had the Edge up on a lift and noticed that the passenger side CV boot (outer) has started to split. I did a little research and it looks like for the price it’s cost effective to replace the axle assembly as opposed to just the boot. On that note it also looks like getting the old drive axle out could be a real pain in the a$$. Anyone had any luck or suggestions. Also I found this document at: http://www.skf.com/binary/81-66360/457377.pdf that is listing the torque specs/procedure for the wheel bearings. Does this look correct? I want to confirm. Thanks As stated on the above link: FDE Tighten old wheel hub, adjusting nut to 258 ft-lbs/350 Nm to seat the half shaft. Remove and discard the old wheel hub nut. With the vehicle raised up, apply the brake so the half shaft will not rotate, and install a new wheel hub nut. Tighten nut to 258 ft-lbs/350 Nm. Do not attempt to tighten the nut with the vehicle on the ground or the wheel bearing will be damaged. Tighten the new wheel hub nut to specification within 5 minutes of starting it on treads. Always install a new wheel hub nut after loosening or when not tightening in the specified time.
  8. I looking to it sometime before June. Let me know what will work for you.
  9. I'm looking to do this in person. I have a shop down here where everything can be done. My original exhaust got bent and I replaced it.
  10. I'm in Miami. It's a pretty straightforward process couple bolts of some hangers to be done pretty easily.
  11. I currently have a Magnaflow exhaust part number 16871 installed on my 07 Edge. It is in perfect working condition. I'm looking to trade it for the factory exhaust (cat back). I may be trading the Edge in soon so I figure someone else might like to get their hands on it. Magnaflow list it as fitting the following vehicles: Edge: 2007-2011 with 3.5L 2012-2014 2.0L turbo This is for a straight up trade.
  12. If you still have the "ambient lighting -out of a 2009 Edge wreck - complete cup holder with leds + 4 single leds and moduels" I'll take it for 50.
