  1. thanks jcflorida. The Canadian site states shows that the "premium" leather is only available with the monochrome package or limited edition package which both have the two tone seats (charcoal black seats with light camel inserts) and contrasting piping. Is the upgraded leather noticably better? Both of those packages require the 20" rims which I was trying to avoid because the lower profile tire supposedly gives a firmer ride. I did have a chance to drive an EDGE with 20" rims and thought the ride was a bit stiffer but I am comparing that to my test drive of an MKX with 18's (was it due to the softer MKX suspension - I don't know). I wonder what tire size the majority of users choose?
  2. I'll be placing my order for a white cholcolate MKX this week and am leaning towards a light camel interior since I think it will stay a bit cooler in the summer months. However, I've noticed that the US Lincoln site does not show that the seats are trimmed with dark piping and the Canadian site does. I've visited a few Canadian dealerships but none have them have the light camel interior on their lot. For those of you who own a 2008 white MKX with light camel interior I'm curious what your seats look like? Perhaps Ford did a change mid-year?
  3. Thanks bbf2530. The free maintenance is offered directly from Lincoln Canada. Their website states, Lincoln No-Charge Scheduled Maintenance The Lincoln No-Charge Scheduled Maintenance Program offers no-charge scheduled maintenance for your Lincoln for the first four years or 80,000 km of ownership - whichever comes first. In addition to the no-charge scheduled maintenance benefits, the program covers the replacement of the following wear items, if required. • Brake pads and linings • Shock absorbers • Engine belts and hoses • Wiper blades • Spark plugs
  4. I found a used 07 MKX in great condition with 13,000 miles on it. I visited my dealer today to obtain a price for new one and he offered me a 08 MKX for about $7,500 more than the used vehicle price (due to current incentives and I qualify for A-PLAN pricing). Both have AWD, vista roof, tow package, adaptive headlamps, nav, etc. and both have 18” wheels. If I buy the new 08, I get 4 years free maintenance, one extra year of warranty since the used one is a year old, SYNC, remote starter, and approximately an extra year of life out of the tires. Are there any differences between the two model years besides the addition of SYNC? If you had a choice what would you pick?
  5. The vehicle is used (13,000 miles on it) and looks great. I'll ask the seller if it was repainted and I'll also have an independant shop look at it just to be sure but from your responses I suspect it is just a normal variation from plastic to steel on lighter colors. Thanks for everyones input.
  6. I found this forum a few weeks ago and have been spending a lot of time reading (great forum by the way). My wife and I are currently looking at replacing my 04 Navigator with something a bit more fuel efficient and have narrowed it down to an MKX. We found an 07 MKX in White Chocolate Tri-coat in great condition. There is however, a minor difference in color. The bumpers are a very slighty different shade from the rest of the vehicle. It is barely noticable but I did pick up on it. Is this because the bumpers are plastic and not steel and therefore the difference is normal or should we be concerned that this was repainted? Can anyone with the same color please confirm if you can notice a difference? Thanks.
