  1. Wow, and my wife thought I was A null about cleaning my mid life crisis. To say the least, having a clean ride shows the world that you care about appearance and you can afford the time and effort it takes to show off your clean ride. However if your New Edge came to you with that much filth, I would have taken it back to the dealer and demanded a properly detailed and clean product. By the way, I have not stayed at a Holiday Inn Express..... :stop: Keep the "Blazing Copper" shiny side up and enjoy. 15000 Km plus and not one complaint yet. I think Ford did GOOD. :yup:
  2. I just installed an after market hitch from draw tight as well I had to install an easy to install wiring harness. YA Right.... took 2 hours to put in the hitch no holes required (class two hitch) and 3 hours to install the wiring. All looks great and it only took 2 cases of beer to get the job done right. Plus it cost a whole lot less than the ford hitch and I didn't loose my Edge for a full day. I can post pics if required but it's only a hitch. My advice, if your handy with tools or have friends with tools, is to install an after market hitch, just make sure you have a sunny day to perform your work.
  3. CopperCarolinaEd... I have a HP travel companion (with a TomTom built in) and hard mounted it just in front of the empty cavity located on the center shift console slightly in front of the shifter. With the BAMR (Big As_ Moon Roof) the TomTom will has no problem picking up the sat reception and if you tint out the drivers and passanger side windows (like I did), you won't have to worry about theft. Too hard to see inside with the limo tint. Sorry I have no pictures but I might post some of my Blazing copper Mid life crissis toy after I smoke out the back lights and front grill and main headlight as well. It's going to look quite aggresive, exactly what I need in the great Canadian outback.
  4. Luck must have been with me. I walked into the dealer on Friday at 2pm and by the next day - Saturday at 0930 I was driving my new 2008 Blazing Metalic Copper. That 19 hours of waiting was a killer and would not have liked to wait 12 weeks. Now that I have my Edge and know what it's like on the road.. Awwwsoommmee. I will never go back to a sedan again.... I do belive that Ford finally got it right.
  5. Got the gray painted 18's. Have to say they match the rest of my Blazing Met Copper bottom half maintaining a dark look from the running board down to the road. Trying to find matching color door bumper gaurd but have had no luck so far. Too many Edge's with crome wheels, the smoked rim add a low bling look to an already aggresive looking SUV. Easy to clean as well.
