  1. I have a 2007 ford edge with 123k. I just got it used from a dealership 3 months ago. I noticed rims getting a lot of brake dust, then wheel bearing noise. Took it 2 them n they pressed in a new bearing and replaced front pads. I get it back and going over bumps there's a rattle. So I reach under and notice the caliper wiggles side 2 side. Checked drivers and it was tight. So I took off the tire and checked bolts which were tight. I noticed the rubber between the caliper and bracket was missing. So I put 1 in place and reinstalled. Still rattled. Brakes started acting worse. Pedal was hard randomly then if u pressed hard it would go down like normal and stop. So I figured that caliper was shot. So I put on the new caliper an hour ago. I put in the new bolts but not the other hardware Cuz mine looked fine. I put it back 2gwther and its still loose. And bled all 4 brakes and my pedal goes 2 the floor and barely stops. I figure I gotta rebleed again. And I started with the front passenger the front driver rear driver rear pass then redid the front passenger since that's the line I opened. Still 2 the floor. I know I didn't bleed in the right order Cuz Ur supposed 2 go from farthest 2 closest, so I'll do that 2maro. But I'm really hung up on why the caliper is loose when the bolts are tight. And the bolts only thread into the caliper and the pin just hangs out in the bracket? Weird Cuz most cars the bolt threads into the bracket. Any ideas or info greatly appreciated. Idk if I get emails when ppl reply but if not I'll check back on here in a little while or 2maro. Thx all.
