  1. I bought the key you posted but and was told on Ebay it was compatible. Ford was able to program it but can't get any of the buttons on the key to work. So it is programmed to the car at least so My bi-directional remote start does work.
  2. Candurin will those ebay keys work with a two way oem remote start? Also your link goes to a pair of F series keys which ebay says not compatible. Is it just because it does not have the hatch door open feature on the key? I don't have a motorized hatch so will the F series key still work? Thanks.
  3. I took 2013 Edge to Ford today to get remote start i installed activated. I was told I need a second key to activate it as I only have one key for the car. I see there is a few keys on Ebay for around $30. Can activate the ebay key myself or does a dealer need to? Thank you
  4. Wow wish I would have gotten that info sooner as I already bought the kit Friday. Their kit was $288 but then had to purchase one fob and a extra antenna they claimed i need.
  5. Recap, i was contacted yesterday about the kit i ordered and was told that part number is no longer used. I was setup with what i was told the same kit but being i wanted a 2 way remote i needed to buy another antenna. So for the kit and 1 2 way fob and extra antenna it cost $371 total instead of $330. Does this sound right about a second antenna?
  6. Thanks again guys, just ordered the BB5Z-19G364-C 200 series kit and also the hood switch. Everything came to $331 shipped to my door. It is going to be a Christmas gift so probably won't get installed til around the 1st of the year. Thanks.
  7. Hey guys pretty new here and to a 2013 Ford Edge. I am looking to get my gal a remote start for Christmas and been doing some looking around. Being quoted over $500 for a Viper and Compustar I would rather go the factory route if it fits her needs. Two biggest thing is to have a good range and most important be able to tell the car started from the remote in other words a 2 way remote. I came across a kit CL3Z-19G364-A for only $200. I also am more than capable of installing it myself except for Ford hooking their computer to it at the end. My understanding is that this kit is the 100 series 1 way kit. Can the kit be upgraded to 2 way? It appears all i have to purchase is the Bi directional remote http://accessories.ford.com/electronics/remote-start/remote-control-system.html and the maybe this upgrade antenna? The kit already comes with one of these but not sure if this one is bi directional or are they all the same and I only need the key fob? http://accessories.ford.com/electronics/remote-start/aerial-asy.html Or is there a different route I can take? It looks like if I can go this way I would get it all for around $300. Thanks for the help.
  8. Hello everyone, my long time girlfriend just became the new owner of a 2013 Edge SEL last night. Sorry, Sorry, I do not have pictures as we got home a bit before midnight last night from getting it. I am posting on behalf of her as I am her mechanic/voice of reason. She went from a 2008 Subaru Legacy GT which turned into a huge expensive headache. After I fixed it for the umteanth time it was time to trade it in. Got a great deal on this Edge and a good trade in so it was a good fit. Edge is Mineral gray metallic, tan interior, Vista roof, 20" chrome wheels. It is not the fully loaded Navi interior. I would call it middle of the row interior as it has a good amount of bells and whistles but not fully loaded. 3.5L V6 engine in her. She really seems happy with this car. I come from a history of Ford family as it is all I own and my father as well. Still have a 1955 F100, 1964 F100 4x4, and a 1963 1/2 Galaxie 500 for toys. Glad to have the ms. in the Ford family now. Anyways just wanted to say hi.
