  1. I have a 2016 Ford Edge sport - got it in January 2016. With 2500 miles these are the problems I have had to far, including the dealer visits:

    • Damaged mirror car at pickup, replaced a week later at dealership

What mirror? Why did you take delivery?

I have a '15 Edge sport that was built in Sept 2015 and I not 1 issue to be had, not even a rattle. 7k miles. Sounds like your Edge didn't end up at your dealership the same way it left the factory to be honest.

  2. Even with the Sport, you'd probably have to custom order it if you wanted it to be pretty loaded out. I did not want a Vista Roof at all, but most dealers order loaded out Sports with them, unfortunately. So I settled on the $1600 piece of glass over my head.

I got a 2015 Sport back in October with every option but a vista roof off a dealer lot. (exactly what I wanted) Just used the online sales lead. Also if you want it, they will find it. If they won't give another dealer your business.

  3. I checked out a 2016 Edge Sport that had the heated/cooled seats. The driver's seat bottom felt cold but nothing happening on the seat back. I asked the salesperson if they are meant to cool the back or not and was told they are not designed to cool the back portion just the bottom.

FYI, my GF's 2016 Jeep Cherokee has cooled seats and the bottoms cool and just the lumbar portion on the back.

My 15 sport gets real cold in the back of the seat all the way up to the upper part of my back. So cool that i can feel it through my North Face winter coat. Salesman is full of shit, but whats new?!?

  4. sheesh, you guys seem so bitter about it.. :)

its a cover, not fake brakes.

the engine has a plastic cover completely for aesthetics, but I prefer to have it to clean up the look of the engine bay. The back has a roller cover to compartmentalize the 'trunk' even though it's technically useless.

Just a little color to break up the gray tires with gray wheels and gray discs and gray brake hardware.

Thanks for the picture, looks nice. Could you possibly upload a closeup of just the wheel on this post or just message me it? I have the polished 20's on black and want to get a better idea of how they will look. I want to do a quick photoshop then change colors ;)

It's too bad some can't accept that other people have different opinions. Some also feel that if they tell you theirs enough times it will become fact. I'm sure they ripped that engine bay cover out and burned it.

  5. Mine did the same thing after my wife opened it in a low parking garage and the emergency sensing sensors kicked and and saved my hatch luckily, but it seemed like it threw off the calibration and my hatch wouldn't always close. (Mine was more like 30-50% fail to close)

After I set a new height for my hatch to open and then set it back to default. I've never had it happen again.

  6. This is nothing like black rims, atleast black rims are....black rims. This is like clipping the turbo whistle onto the exhaust to pretend you have a blow off valve

Black rims are regular rims painted black. That exact rim could be dipped in chrome, coated in aluminum, or painted red.

If you wanted to help your point it would be like putting black hub caps on a steel rim instead of painting the rim black.

This is nothing like attaching a whistle to your tail pipe to pretend like you got something under your hood. It's putting a cover over something instead of painting it.

  7. to each their own, but I can't understand how people think these look good or even realistic.

Leased vehicle. Also just what people like. I would much rather prefer the smooth look of the covers over painted stock calipers. The emblems are a nice touch as well. I for one don't understand black/dark rims, but at least 50% of the public loves em. That's why we have options after all.

  8. I finall got it back and was going through it with a rep when we found overspray on every fender of the car (a big blob of solid pain hanging off). When we pointed this out he made a funny face and was like dang, well that is not normal. In short my review can be summed up as: mechnaically so far the car is great. HOWEVER the fit and finish is below a hyundai/kia at this point. I won't be buying another ford.

I had a 2013 Hyundia Santa Fe sport 2.0t (First year) and i have the complete opposite opinion. I think the Ford Edge Sport is superior in every aspect compared to the Santa Fe build i had.

  9. Do we any updates on this issue? Is this a non-issue? Looking to buy a new Titanium with the cooled seats option but this thread is concerning. Would appreciate more information or experiences. Thank you...

My Edge Sport manufactured on September 15th doesn't have the problem. I've had it for 60ish days and use the seats at least 4 days of the week. More if my wife is turning them on when shes driving alone.

  10. Personnel preference I suppose but I went with the 21" I test drove an SEL with 18", Titaniums with 19" & 20" and i noticed a difference in the handling between them all. I much preferred the handling response of the 21". I also think the dark 21" wheels look better on the platinum white and being 9" wide with 265 tires fill out the wheel wells better. Maybe if the 20" were 9" wide they would look better.

The sport you drove with the 21's has a entirely different suspension than the SEL and Titanium. Your handling response had nearly nothing to do with the wheels/tires. I'd agree about the 21's looking better on the white if that's the color you love. Not because of their size, but the gun metal gray contrast on the white. Enjoy your new sport. They are a blast

  11. 2015 Ford Edge Sport AWD

    20" Polished Aluminum wheels

    401a Technology Package

    Production date: September 15th 2015

My Edge sport has treated me very well. I got every option except the adaptive cruise and Vista Roof (I'm so over the glass roofs) It has around 2000 miles on it now. I ran '93 octane the first 1000 miles and switched to regular '87 for the last 1000. Getting almost the exact same gas mileage and without a track to time it I don't really see a difference in performance at all either. I don't have any of the issues reported on the forums. Driver and passenger seats fully cool backs and bottoms, none of the trim is peeling back, no leaks, ect... To be honest i don't really have a issue with anything. I absolutely love this vehicle. It even plays nice in the snow! The only thing i would have loved to have as an option would be the heated steering wheel. I finally got the driver/pass windows tinted and did my final detail before the winter. Some pics B)

  12. As the H9 doesn't have a blacked out tip, wouldn't it cause more glare for oncoming traffic?

Unfortunately the majority of amateur persons buying and or installing aftermarket headlights never think about it or just don't care. I suppose whats a head to head collision when you can save a few bucks right? As someone with high light sensitivity I can really attest to how bad cheap aftermarket light kits hinder oncoming traffics vision.

    /endrant

I don't know if those H9's cause the issue, I'm just happy to see someone concerned about it the issue.

  13. ACTUALLY.....Having put my share of 12,000 miles on a '15 3.5L V-6 powered Edge and a similar percentage of the 2200 miles on a '15 2.0L EcoBoost on-line 4, I agree, the 4 cyl pulls harder, downshifts less on hills, acceleration in normal city and highway traffic situations is better. Haven't seen the better MPG yet though.... Having too much fun with the better more usable torque!

The 2.7L EcoBoost V-6 is a even lower rpm engine with more HP & torque. I bet it would be fun to play with!

The 2.7 makes the 4 feel like a kitten. After test driving both I had to get the sport!

I drive a 2015 Edge Sport Black 2.7L w/ 20" polished aluminum wheels. Every option except vista roof and adaptive cruise.
