We are at around 12,000 miles on the edge now and the brakes have not gotten any softer. My wife is fine with them because she drives it everyday and has gotten used to it braking hard. I however almost send us through the windshield every time I brake. My father in law also commented on how bad they are when he was taking it to get a car wash.

My wife and I got a 2015 Edge SEL AWD. Love the thing. The only problem I've had with it is the brakes seem to be kind of touchy on first touch. Example, you have the cruise set and you touch the brake to turn off cruise, it will brake much harder than any other vehicle I have had. Is this just because it's brand new and the brakes need to be worn in or is that just the brakes on this vehicle?

It sounded like it was from under the car. I couldn't tell if it was from the front or the back because I thought I heard it from both. My guess is it was the gas because we had a quarter of a tank.

My wife and I were driving back from a movie tonight and had the radio off. As we pulled out of the parking lot we heard a tinking sound every once in awhile. It seemed to be when we slowed down or sped up. It wasn't loud but it was just barely loud enough that we could both hear it. I had heard somewhere that the gas tank is made of a different material in the 2015. Is that true and could we just have been hearing the gas sloshing around.

Perfect response. Just picked my wife's up tonight. She will be happy with me for a day now.

Got the car tonight and found out they are putting on an aftermarket remote start that reaches 3,000 feet instead of 300 feet that the Ford one does. Also got him to throw in 2 free oil changes and tire rotations for free by "accidentally" mentioning that the Chevy dealership was going to do that on the Equinox we were looking at..

Wife says it's ok because she will lock the keys in the car or just keep them in her purse since it has the push start on it. Everything is okay until I have to carry the keys around.

The problem is we don't want to pay for the technology or 201a packages. The technology package gives you remote start but it also requires 201a. That's $3500. I guess the wife will have to deal with an extra fob. If she's not happy with that, then I will tell them to find a different Edge with the specs that we wanted and not add something on.

We got the SEL. I was meaning the remote start fob key, not the app. They seriously can't switch me to one fob that has the remote start and locking options? That's going to make me angry.

So my wife and I just leased a 2015 Edge for her and we wanted remote start so the dealership through that in on the deal for free. The Edge was brought down from Minnesota last night and now the salesman is saying that the remote start on the 2015 Edge isn't out yet so it will be about 30 days before we can get that installed. Is that true? How can the remote start not be available for the 2015 Edge when the 2016 is almost out? Also told him to check on the TSB for the flooding and the recall for the steering. Anything else I should have him check on? Thanks!
