I finally found my way back to this original post. I just posted a new message regarding this problem as well. The answer is: "initialization process". I copied/attached those instructions below. TIP: It's a little tricky, but just follow the instructions. I think I might've even missed one istep, but what did the trick was closing the glass panel as far as it would go, release that button, then closing the shade panel and KEEPING my finger on that button even AFTER it had closed. That's probably the "10 seconds" the instructions are talking about. I can't believe more dealers aren't aware of this fix ... moonroof fix.doc

I can't find my way back to the original posting but one of the answers FIXED my moonroof which was stuck about 6" open. :yahoo:The fix is called an "initialization process"and I have attached a copy. It's a little tricky (be SURE to wait a full "10 seconds" like the instructions say). I'm not so sure I even followed one of the steps, but on the 3rd try I just pushed the shade/close button and after it closed all the way I kept my finger on that button and after little bit I heard the glass set down all the way.
