I just purchased a 2010 SEL Ford Taurus. I also ride a 2008 Goldwing.

The front wheel always throws dirt up along the bottom side of the vehicle real bad. Just washing it and driving out of the car wash you would have the lower side dirty. I puchased the front mud guards and they were a great help. I also purchased a bug shield for the hood to help protect the hood from rock chips. I purchased them on the internet from partscheap.com/edge07.htm and installed them myself. Just a matter of drilling some holes. I installed the mud guards out a little further than the instructions said to get a little more protection.

We only have about 800 miles on our Edge SEL Plus AWD. I have kept track of the total gas milage since new. We live in a small town so we do not get much city driving. It is driven around town by my wife and mostly on two lane highways. For the first 850 miles it did 19.9 miles per gallon. This is not by the computer but miles divided by gallons used. On the highway I would say it will do 22 to 23 miles per gallon. In town 16 to 17. Some of this was in some pretty cold weather, which uses more gas. I hope it gets better with some miles. Other than the gas mileage the vehicle is great and the mileage is not that bad it just that gasoline is so high.

Congratulation, you will really enjoy your new Edge. We have the Edge SEL Plus in the redfire color with camel leather interior. We have had five Explorers which we have always really liked. My wife did not think she wanted an Edge that it would not take the place of her Eddie Bauer Explorer. She has now changed her mind. We still have the Eddie Bauer Explorer but it looks like that is mind my wife took the Edge. Jerry

To all New Edge owners. Notice where the windshield wipers are attached. There are two small plastic caps one on each whindshield wiper that fits over the nut that holds the wiper on. These caps will snap off real easy. Both of mind came off in a car wash. I seen them so I did not lose them. What I did was took just a pinch of super glue and glued them to the nuts. Not enough that they could not be taken off if need so. It you do not do something to attach them they will come up missing. Jerry

You will really like it. They really handle great. I test drove one before ordering ours but you can not tell that much about one until you drive it some miles. Jerry

We went yesterday and picked up my wife's new Edge. It is a SEL Plus AWD, redfire in color with camel leather interior. She got the 18 inch chrome wheels and the reverse sensing system. Of crouse the Plus has the leather heated seats and most all the other options. She did not get the sun roof. She had a sun roof in her Explorer and never did use it. It is sure a great driving vehicle. I will try to attach some pictures. Jerry

When I ordered mind they said it would be 6 to 8 weeks but it came in sooner. It is a SEL Plus, AWD, Red, w/ Prem. Pkg., Camel leather, chrome wheels & reverse sensing system. The dealer that I ordered mind from is the largest F Series dealer in the United States. They get a lot of vehicles so it may help some. Jerry

Hello This is my first post. I ordered a new Edge January 16th and received a phone call last evening from the dealer saying it was in. I am to pick it up at 10:00 AM tomorrow. This is to be my wife's car. She had a 2000, Explorer Eddie Bauer and I had a 2002 Explorer Sport Trac. Her Explorer only had 39,000 miles on it and was like new so I kept it and traded my Sport Trac for her the new Edge. I sure hope she likes it because I had a hard time talking her out of another Explorer. She has had three Explorers and really likes them. Her new Edge is a SEL Plus, Redfire in color with Camel Leather and the 18" Chrome wheels. I am sure she will like it. Jerry :happy feet:
