Nice. How difficult was swapping the HIDs? If I'm not mistaken, the bumper has to be dropped, no?

No. I have the factory HIDs. this is just a Bulb replacement. The OEM bulb is a DS3 bulb which can be replaced very easily (no harder than replacing a halogen bulb). I haven't purchased the replacement bulbs yet. Still trying to justify the $200 spend

I noticed it turns Surround off also, not sure why though

What does the dealer have to say about this? if its a bug in software, the more people that report it, the more likely Ford will issue a software patch. When i first got my wifes 2013 Escape, the rear camera guidelines kept turning off. A few months later, a sync software patch totally fixed the issue

  3. just picked up a sport with FWD here in northern california. I'm really regretting not getting an AWD one. the Sport 2.7 makes so much power that im constantly feeling torque steer. If im not heavy on the gas, its fine. But this motor begs to be driven hard. The Edge Sport is my wifes car so its not that huge of a deal, because shes none the wiser.

However, anyone considering an edge sport an planning on driving it in a sporty manner, Id highly recommend going with the AWD (regardless of what kind of weather you live in)

  4. I picked up a 2015 edge sport today. That 2,000 lease incentive was too good to pass up. I would have held out for the 2016 but there aren't any incentives or price breaks from the dealer. Sync3 would have been nice but we are perfectly happy with my ford touch since we have it on the 2013 escape that's near lease end

  5. Oh how I miss My home state of NJ. I live and California now. just spent two months shopping for an edge sport. I just picked up my edge sport today MSRP 45,480. fwd, 401a, pano, 21" wheels. Between the dealers not budging on price and high taxes in this state, this lease is ending up costing 530/month. 1000 out of pocket. Perfect credit. It took me a while to accept that cars in California are just more expensive.

  6. The adaptive steering will be interesting for me as well as the lane change stuff. At the last minute I opted for the 20 inch wheels. One of my reasons was hoping for a bit softer ride. That and the 21 inch tires are lots more dollars. Especially if you need to replace all 4 because of the AWD. That said the 21 inch wheels are AWSOME.

Enjoy your ride. Keep us informed.

the Edge AWD isnt full time. I believe its FWD bias. I doubt all four tires will be wearing down at the same rate. You should be able to rotate front to back to get even wear

  7. google search or Yelp search "Mobile alloy wheel repair". I've had good experience with someone coming to my location and repairing curb rash wheels. They usually charge $100 a wheel, which i think is very reasonable. The end result looks very good. Not sure of the longevity of the repair, as I've only ever done this on vehicles I was returning at lease end

  8. Thanks, I'm loving my Sport.

The adjusted cap cost is $43,395 and the residual value is $27,331

thats actually not a bad deal at all. Looks like yours is loaded with the 21's as we.. I just got a preliminary quote for a fully loaded sport with the drivers pkg, pano, and 21s MSRP 48,275. dealer is only taking 2,400 off MSRP. Selling price $45,846.68. nothing down Residual is 56%, MF is pretty good 0.75%. still comes to $604/month. Wayy too expensive for what this car MSRPs at..
